Will Geelong be FINED? !!
Geelong were very late out on to the ground for their game against us last night; The siren sequence suggests they might be in trouble; 3 blasts is to call the captains to the centre for the toss. 2 blasts is for players & umpires to get into position. 1 blast is for the controlling umpire to advise the captains that the game is due/about to start. Geelong were running out on to the ground at the time of the single blast !!

Re: Will Geelong be FINED? !!
I always thought that three blasts meant two minutes to go. Two blasts meant one minute to go and one blast means play ball.

I hope the AFL will go hard on this one. Or at least the clubs board get the legal department to investigate what options they can pursue. As usual I bet they roll over and get walked all over.

Yeah, I was about to post the same thing. I'm surprised that the rule wasn't updated after that match - not that it should have been; but considering the speed and regularity at which the AFL changes the rules it's still surprising.Enrico_Misso wrote:That is Incorrect !saintbrat wrote:From laws of the Game

Shouldn't they change this rule as it's not quite correct. The quarter is over when the AFL commision meets and decides, sometimeduing the following week.saintbrat wrote:10.4.1 E nd of Quarter
