Act like dickheads - which many of our players did last year (much of which went unreported, btw) - and you have to live with the consequences in this town. It wasn't hard to see (or hear about) in many instances if you head out in Richmond/South Yarra/Prahran/CBD (especially Baroq...the haunt of our C-grade players)
The players get massive, massive money and with that comes responsibility. If you don't like the responsibility, you should go and play for Yarrawonga.
Our players are doing the right things - getting their minds and bodies stuck into the hard work that produces success - and the media is taking notice.
They were meant to absolutely slaughter us in the post-Ross Lyon, end of an era period. Instead, the club has thrown open the doors, shown new maturity and the results are there for all to see.
If we can win a few early-season matches (check out our draw - we should be 4/5 by Round 5), we need to then translate that optimism into memberships and sponsorships.
The media has done their job in helping us create the hype, now we have a fabulous opportunity to take the club forward with a spirit of optimism once more.
Dear Ross, take your negativity, angry-ant, bubble-speak and 'end of an era' mentality and shove it up your purple shorts. We're going places without you.

This is the kid that really excites me, a good size but still mobile, good second effort, makes decisions on the spot and not afraid to pull the trigger on a shot at goal and above all has great skills. great skills is what we lacked in the last couple of years IMO and the more kids like Sippos who make the grade the better.
Stanley Im not convinced on!

It isn't surprising as getting a group of young boys probably with limited education/life experience due to the 'football dream' in a blokey-bloke environment does not bode well for non-newspaper headline type behaviour.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.
