That's a big bet on what has been unrealised potential for a couple of years

hmmm...
can't see why they'd win it this year when they failed last year... pretty settled team, most players more or less at their peek
i've got a feeling about the Hawks... reckon they're gonna drop just a little bit. Couple of players on that team like Burgoyne who just seem like they're better than they really are

Hawkes of Saville Row?
I know this is a football forum but the literacy level here is a real worry. I'm no pedant, and usually I bite my tongue but this is too much.
Hawks is not a rare word, have you ever looked at the scarves of the Hawthorn supporters?
Message to OP:
I don't think the Hawkes will win I recon it will be the eeguls or the Saynts and anyone who don't agree is a looser. I should of put this bit first lol!!! :P:P

I reckon if you followed the Hawks you could see many reasons for improving. Roughhead and Gilham for a start plus so many young guys who should improve. Seems like an opposition post to me.

Re: $100,000 on hawkes for flag!
like I said plugger...
it's mostly just a feeling. No guarantee on Roughhead being that good or injury... don't know anything about Gilham.
Guys like Guerra, and Birchall aren't getting any better... Lewis should and could be a gun but doesn't play to the standard often enough, Hodge is injury prone.
A lot more reliant on Buddy IMO than they realise... good defensive team can shut him down
Don't get me wrong... they have some decent juniors in Savage and Whitecross coming through and their a sold... very good team... they just don't have that knockout punch for mine... something about them smacks of underperformance
better than us at the moment by all teams but I back both Geelong and Collingwood ahead of them
