Saints put AFL back in their place

Post: # 1189724Post stkildathunda »

Well the club has come out and slammed the AFL

http://www.saints.com.au/news/newsartic ... fault.aspx
The St Kilda Football Club would like to correct a misleading report published on AFL.com.au this afternoon.

An Intra-Club Game was not played at the Linen House Centre this morning, as reported.

The Saint’s Intra-Club fixture starts next week with an open Intra-Club Game.
Its all to do with this rubbish published on AFL Website

http://www.afl.com.au/tabid/208/default ... medium=RSS
ST KILDA has closed its doors on its opening intra-club practice match for the season on Friday.

The in-house session means Saints fans will have to wait another week to get their first glimpses at the changes to the game plan instituted by new coach Scott Watters.

But what did they do this morning?

I think it is all to do with semantics......is it an intra club game/practice match (AFL definition).....or just a 'scratch match' (Saints definition) as part of normal training?

There was no practice match this morning. Players & coaches were at a 'mini-camp' so to speak. Definitely no praccy match today.
Great start for news breaking AFL Media !

probably neither this morning as the coaches were at moonay links and the players headed there this afternoon.

Well whether they did or didnt isnt really the problem, it was an advertised CLOSED session and next friday was the advertised Intra Club match.. What they made it sound like was club cancelled it today last minute and made it a closed match....
