No it means that Cripps has been training since about Dec 15th as per last official update and the Herald Scum were wrong and reported on injury that occured 1 month ago..saintsRrising wrote:or it might mean that, as for many years, that the injury report is not accurate.saintbrat wrote:

Ok...let me restate things. I was not just talking about Cripps.stkildathunda wrote:No it means that Cripps has been training since about Dec 15th as per last official update and the Herald Scum were wrong and reported on injury that occured 1 month ago..saintsRrising wrote:or it might mean that, as for many years, that the injury report is not accurate.saintbrat wrote:

IMO the club makes only a token effort to be accurate with the injury reports. Routinely it will not include an accurate status of all injured players.....and most likely will continue to do so.
So IMO trusting what the clubs states in it's injury report is equally accurate as trusting what the HS states.
Now things may change......but I will wait till I see the proof in the pudding first.
And by the way...just because a player is traning does not mean that there are no injury concerns.

Most players with little niggles, bumps and bruises through out the year.
Seeing as it is pre season, the more fitness a player can get into them without getting those bumps and bruises will be a big help.
The players injured are those that have serious injuries such as Gwilt and Lenny to some extent. Having had two knee reconstructions myself, I know they are not something to just operate on and get back into it. There is also the mental side to get over.
Not sure what is with Goddards hip but am sure he will be doinf whatever it takes.
SaintsRising you are correct though in the somewhat vague, half true maybe maybe not reports of injuries in past years.
Two reasons for this = 1. Don't want to let the opposition know we have any weaknesses to keep them guessing
2. Was a part of Lyons plan?

Re: Injury List- January
ACE out for the season.
The European snow season that is.
Left sholder, smashed the head of the humerus.
French doctors said the head of the humerus would have to be removed and a metal prothesis inserted into the bone.
But aussie surgeon has used screws and a plate to repair.
Happened on skiing day 3 of about 80 days planned.
ACE did not cry - it hurt too much at the time.
But he may start cryng when he realises how much he is out of pocket for 2 1/2 days of skiing.
ACE may have to take up playing football.
It seems a lot safer.
ACE has great sympathy for all injured players.
Being crippled and in pain is no fun.
May we all heal quickly and get back to the sports we love.

i hope you had travel insurance
best of luck with your recovery
Due to arthritic knees I am forced to fly business class.
You can not claim airfares that you have used.
PLUS medical and physio expenses after you return to Australia are not claimable.
I probably have over $10,000 that can not be claimed - at least $4,000 per day of skiing!!!!!!!!
I am fortunate to be able to absorb such loses but that is a lot of money for little enjoyment and plenty of pain.
