Thank you for your kind concern. But despite being the Xmas period neither were drink related.

However by way of explanation, it was actually originally an accidental triplicate post (due the site being a bit buggy at present).

I went to delete it..but that functionality has been removed for ordinary posters.

So with the two extra posts as I could not delete them, rather than leave all three up in their complete form and as you have to have some characters I simply went for a series of full stops.

I just thought forumites would ignore them, and that a mod would delete them.

One took off with a series of funny replies by various forumites...before a mod deleted it...and this was bumped including by you.

Cheers.

Why has the option to delete posts/threads been removed anyway?

Good question. Would certainly be handy to have at present though as many of us accidentally make duplicate posts.

I now realise that once you hit SUBMIT once that it will post, even if you screen does not update...and that if you hit SUBMIT again, all that happens is no change in screen refresh rate, but just a duplicate post for each hit.

Yes, though both ......................... posts were actually made within minutes of each other.

My apologies for any annoyance. It was not really intended.

Likewise...though you do not have to wait as long as 30 seconds.

It seems to post regardless. So if it looks like it is hung I just go through the link.

It is so last year!

This year the players are standing in a circle, not a straight line 8-)

Correct....the straight line was a Lyin tactic that failed.....let's see how we go with circle work...

Definitely not by this old girl Dr Spacey........................... takes me back to my days at D.24 last century :P

... _ _ _ ... = SOS ( shorthand for Save Our Saints)

_ _ . _ _ _ ... ._ .. _. _ ... = GO SAINTS!

Who ever thought I would need to recall my old morse code skills in 2012

Funny that. If I try to think and recall the alphabet and numerals I get all confused.

When I sit and tap with my thumb and forefinger it all flows automatically.

Wonder what my speed would be these days? I was a dab hand (or should I say fingers) at it in the early 1960's!!!!!
