He did come second in the 2K TT so he was fit enough to do that. That was on the 18th of November so did he injure himself after that?stkildathunda wrote:Joffa Burns wrote: Cripps has been super impressive on the track.
Great insight but gotta pull you up on this bit. Cripps has only recently started running and has only runs laps as has been injured. Wont be back to full training til after Christmas. So fair stretch to say has been impressive on the track.

At open training on 23rd November he didnt run at all, only walked around so if he came 2nd in TT on 18th id say he injured himself during that. At open training on Dec 2nd he was back running.plugger66 wrote:He did come second in the 2K TT so he was fit enough to do that. Don't know if Cripps was injured for a short time or not.stkildathunda wrote:Are we sure it was the TT time trial he came 2nd in and not getting confused with the swim he came 2nd in a few weeks ago?
But I guess it own opinion if u would classify that as "impressive" preseason on the track as that's all he has done
I can tell you he has impressed the coaching staff on the track prior to December 1 and late in December.
By on the track I mean training form in general as opposed to specifically running.

He has been training on and off due to a small leg injury after the TT but has been going well when able to train. One who is really impressing is Ferguson. His 2k TT was about 6.40 which is midfielders pace. Also is very quick over short distances and has put on 5kg from last season. May be ready a lot earlier than I thought anyway.Joffa Burns wrote:Don't know if Cripps was injured for a short time or not.stkildathunda wrote:Are we sure it was the TT time trial he came 2nd in and not getting confused with the swim he came 2nd in a few weeks ago?

Hey Teffers, I haven't been around these parts for a long, long time but stumbled across the site in my favorites and thought I'd have a quick look. Ross is also firmly in the thoughts for round 1, he is already seen as a future leader. Mids with pace and disposal will be fast tracked.
Cripps has been super impressive on the track.
Expect the midfield to be less predictable with Armo & Steven taking as much time in there as Joey and Dal. The acid has been put on Dal to lift another cog and become a superstar of the competition, the new coach rates him so highly.
Blakey appears as back up only at this stage with Sam Gilbert set to play tall KPP and Wilkes as next choice folowed by Stanley and Simpkin.
Ferguson is also rated.
I expect Stanley will play as the coach believes in him and his versatility.
Kossie looks like taking the Leigh Brown back up Ruck KPP role.Z
The new coach will opt with youth if there is a margin call between a younger and older player.
Peake and Ray look safe as they fit the running mid variety that the coach likes. The second and or thrid key forwards are the interesting spots and poetentially up for grabs.
Awesome insight, I assume from training. Stanley as a backman, dunno. Also Gilbert as KPP I like.
Interesting views and good to have u posting again - always enjoyed reading your stuff as it was at least football related. Im wrapt to hear the view on our predictability - for so long St Kilda has had the "big fwd" option and never effectively shared that load (even to reliant on Milne). Be great to see us go fwd and keep an oppositon guessing as to where....
For the record Im not into "how you know"or why you're sharing these thoughts I just appreciate them as a view. Clearly Tugger gets a huff on anytime anyone else remotely indicates they may have spoken to someone at the club and not run it past him first....
Keep up the good work.
Don't be concerned by the 'huff', its easy being a keyboard warrior and pretending to be friends with players to big note on an internet site.
I agree with the predicibility factor, but it is easy to decide we need to be multi pronged and a lot harder to put into action.
Firstly we need a couple of targets who demand the ball and have the confidence to do so in the company of Roo and secondly the guys up field have to look past a 6ft 4 blond guy sprinting at them at 9mts a second and and decide to go to another option.
Easier said than done in the heat of battle.

You may have as well. I wont judge you like you judge me. I understand based on nearly 24,000 posts in 3 &1/2 years that saintsational is a massive part of your life, and that is great.plugger66 wrote: Again to gutless to have a go at me directly. Everyone should have an active interest and a passion.
Some like participating in sport and life, others art or music, some academia, some are lovers and others fighters, yours is internet forums and I respect that - good on you!
But I think you are losing perspective when you attempt to link a perons courage and an internet football forum? Or to make assumptions about someones status in life and in how many areas you 'have them covered'.
Internet forums are great, but life is not measured on how many times one has posted! So keep up the good work and don't be backward in discussing footy related topics with me, as that's what we are here to do, discuss the saints.

If that is the case then why make gutless comments on other posts. Maybe because you have no balls at all. I shouldnt say that in a negative way as you may actually be a girl. Sorry if you are. By the way again i wont judge you like you have me. I may make a lot of posts but i can assure you i have a great life outside this forum. I am a life member of another footy club, and still help out at that club. I also have a minor involvement at a district cricket club and own a couple of racehorses. Also go out and socialize every week. You may be the same or you may look at porn all day and not have time to get on Saintsational but like I said I wont judge you are you have of me. The reason is simple we dont know each other.Joffa Burns wrote:I understand based on nearly 24,000 posts in 3 &1/2 years that saintsational is a massive part of your life, and that is great.plugger66 wrote: Again to gutless to have a go at me directly. Dear plugger66, there seems to be some miscommunication between us so let’s clear it up.plugger66 wrote:If that is the case then why make gutless comments on other posts. Thanks for letting me know about your great life outside of the Saintsational fan forum, it means a lot to me to know you don’t spend an inordinate amount of time bragging on an internet football forum or making personal attacks on peoples integrity or intestinal fortitude.
So let’s see, who is plugger66?
From your posts over the past few days...you help out the saints heaps, you own racehorses, you socialize a lot, you are best friends with a lot of Saints players and they dine at your house, you are a life member of another football club which you also help out and you are involved in district cricket.
Wow, it was tough dragging all of that personal information out of you!
What else do we know... you post with extraordinary regularity & volume, you use an anonymous fan forum to questions peoples courage, your grammar and writing structure is that of a primary school child and you’re a Saints fan, albeit a negative one.
So what does this tell us?
Well...you must be a tough guy, as anyone as successful as you could not be a keyboard warrior.
You’re a self made man as your level of success is not commensurate with the manner in which you articulate your posts. You are not insecure, as only a very insecure person would feel the need to detail their life achievements to anonymous people on the internet.
So what do we know?
You are 50 plus years old!
I glean this as you have life memberships to sporting organisations and these are usually awarded after many years involvement in a club and you still refer to Premier Cricket as ‘District’.
I’m guessing you are one of the 4 profiles below:
1/ Patrick Smith
Big old f@t @rse windbag who writes opinion pieces and tries to pass them off as inside information.
2/ GTAnother big old f@t @rse windbag who still thinks he is relevant.
3/ Gerry Ryan
Self made man, supporter of the saints, big race horse owner, hmmm plugger66, do you own a pro cycling team and a massive Dandenong South manufacturing facility?
4/ Profile 4
A big noting, internet hero, keyboard warrior, nobody, BSA, blowhard, self important tw@t who has nothing better to do than live his life and spin his drivel on an internet forum – the same forum in which he has posted 24,000 pearls of wisdom over a relatively short period of time.
I know which one I think you are
Why does this song and film clip spring to mind when I read any of your self indulgent cr@p? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE6iAjEv9dQ

Excellent stuff but still to gutless to actually call me a liar. Use of other words which suggest you think I am lying. Sorry but I dont lie or not to often. What I see is person who who is for some reason upset with what I write. No idea why anyone would care even if i did lie. Surely you couldnt be jealous as you dont know me. If you did you would be though where as if I knew you i would feel sorry for you.Joffa Burns wrote:Dear plugger66, there seems to be some miscommunication between us so let’s clear it up.plugger66 wrote:If that is the case then why make gutless comments on other posts. Yes I write a lot on this forum but as I suggested to you, you may not have the time as you could be watching porn all day but lets just judge people without knowing them at all. of the 4 profiles you wrote I would suggest Gerry Ryan is the closest except I dont have his money or any good horses. I own one bike and went to Dandenong to the drivein the other night. Well done for getting so close. The other 3 could be similar to you but i am unsure if they watch porn though.
Far from insure either. Just posted what I get up to so you can have something to aim for afterall they say watching porn can be bad for your eyesight. I take it you have glasses on maybe even contacts as they dont fog up when you get excited.
Anyway Im glad we had this chat. Hopefully we can meet at the footy one day. Please bring a copy of Case of the smiling stiffs. I havent seen it in years. Now it has been good to chat but Lenny is on the phone. I think he wants to buy a share in my racehorse and cook tea for me. Now dont get to jealous of that. We will include you after you bring me that DVD.

plugger66; quit with the bitching and insignificant questions that are best suited to a personal message. Your questions only benefit you and others with a similar tabloid mentality and if you are into gossip and 'who knows who' is important to you, then you need to spend more time on Hollywood forums. Please can you PM posters if you are asking personal questions. Some people might want to respond to you in public but what do you expect when you are soliciting the attacks against you by being such a smartarse.plugger66 wrote:
Sounds impressive. Does he often chat to you? Thats the coach not your alter ego.
Just asked you a simple question. Im amazed you know all that from watching training. I dont go anymore bit it seems people pick up a lot more than previously from going to training. I must start going again.
Alright Dad. How do you know Ledger is the coaches love child and how do you know Cripps in burning it up on the track? And how do you know Ross is a chance for round one and could be a future leader. Actually how do you know all the things you wrote? Because it has been passed off as fact I thought it may be interesting to know how you know. The reason I ask is if you were told this in confidence Im surprised you would print it. Unless of course the person who told you said to write it for all to see on here.
