Nickname: Shents / Humphrey / The Panther

Position: Forward

Height: 186cm

Weight: 80kg

Another product of the Norwood FC junior development system, Cameron is a super quick forward who can play as a wingman. He is a very good kick for goal & an exceptional mark on a lead. A quite lad, Cameron has an opportunity to develop into a senior regular over the coming seasons if he continues to work hard on his game.

Comes from the same club as Puopolo,Duigan and Lower who ahve all made smooth transitions into AFL

Has been strongly linked to us Essendon and Geelong

Pretty good effort.

I don't think I have gotten a St Kilda pick right in the last 5 years, except the occasional re-rookie of a delisted saint.

I'm not sure if it is just because I pay more attention to our picks but we seem to pull a lot more picks from left field than other teams.

I was just hoping to get a shot at league level. I thought I was going to struggle to make it but Bass (coach Nathan Bassett) came in and showed belief in me. I owe him a fair bit."

Shenton spent the weekend, after press time, on a team-bonding camp for recruits at Phillip Island.

This week he began pre-season training beside such stars as Nick Riewoldt, Nick Dal Santo and Lenny Hayes.

"One day I'm at work and the next I'm in Melbourne getting tours around the St Kilda facility," he said. "I can't wait to have a shot at the AFL."
