New media focus
Definately greater focus on getting positive news stories.....just hope we live up to hype.....others with new coaches seem to be going the quieter path....I can understand after our media effort after last year....just seems an awful lot of saints in papers atm

Didn't look to positive in today's hun re centrebet type sponsorship on club merchandise highlighting "Ban sought on gambling ads at footy clubs"
that used StKilda as an example

Will we pick up a player in the SSP window
Perhaps one of the reasons Scotty W got the gig was that he believed that the Saints needed to be more bright, open and media savvy. He is doing a great job on that front and SainterK, you are on the money with trying to draw more sponsors. Let's keep getting this positive coverage and hope it translates into - 1. more members and 2. great football from the Saints.

he probably reads the Herald Sun and based his opinion on that...plugger66 wrote:Talking of sponsorship, has anyone heard that Centrebet will not be a sponsor next year? Heard this from a person who also said laidley would be our new coach. He wasnt right but he wasnt completely wrong either.
reminds me of the Philip Morris sponsorship, that was all right until the influential frowned on it and then legislated against it...gonna happen with gambling next...bye bye Centrebet

Maybe a media friendly approach is recognition of the fact we are starting a REBUILD phase. If we plummet down the table we can become everyones second team as per the 80's.Not saying this is desirable _just may be part of the board's thinking.
Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!

It would look even more wrong if he was wearing different colours while directing traffic at the Linen House CentreSaintPav wrote:Laidley in red white and black looks so wrong.plugger66 wrote:Talking of sponsorship, has anyone heard that Centrebet will not be a sponsor next year? Dear Saints Fans,
