I think that's pretty good. Obviously Lenny and Gwilt sliding a little due to coming back from injury.

I would have McEvoy much higher for next year. Maybe ahead of Dempster? Definitely above Gilbert.

I'd like to see Steven push higher next year also.

I think you have Ben McEvoy under-rated. And you have Raph Clarke severely under-rated. You have him the bottom of the pile.

i have high hopes for gilbo still. i think he might make a come-back after such an unsettled time last year.

i think clarke remains where has been most of his career - at the crossroads. i have never been a clarke basher. his spoiling and long arms are great and he has 2 or 3 great games per year. but his limitations are still there.

Lets face it.
It would be nice if we didn't have to play any of the tier 2 players.

But they are required to fill out the numbers.
They are the players other teams will try to exploit.
How well the team performs depends on how good or bad the tier 2 players go.

agree - the performance of those tier two players really determines whether we finish high or middle of the road.

if any of those tier twos bust into tier one it would be great.

Interesting list...

I do agree that you underrated Clarke... he's a lot better than a lot of the players above him.

I also think you've underrated Kosi who IMO should always play... honest player in the hardest position on the ground almost and always closely checked.

Schneider way too high for a player as inconsistent as he is. Very under achieving IMO. With his talent he should be consistently up there with the top 5-6 best players every week... instead we get far too many cameo performances... should be right at the bottom of the 1st tier and iMO unless he added consistency to his game... best trade bait we have.

Gilbert is another one that intrigues. U have him in the right spot on POTENTIAL. Shocking season. Has the talent to be one of our premium A-Grade players if he's not going to make it there we shd trade him. WIll be a defining year for him

Final observation... interesting to see that Jones, Ray, Peake, Armitage and Gram all sit between 14-19.
To me that says a lot about our club:
Jones - hugely overrated player that delivers 5-6 really good games a year and a lot of average ones
Ray - shocking year, barely any positive impact
Peake - way too inconsistent, too many ineffective games

IMO those guys either need to improve dramatically back to the levels we know they can play or be overtaken

Gram - starting to find form late after largely playing unfit for 2 years
Armitage - looks the best prospect of the lot

nice post Con... i enjoyed this thread
