Not sure Armo and Jack in 2009 and 2010 could be compared to those stars.joffaboy wrote:Like Paul Chapman in the 09 Grand Final you mean?plugger66 wrote:Just play guys even if they arent fit. It is only a GF.

Guess we will never know, pretty sure I read he took something significant into the game.i am not too good on computers/stats etc but would be interested to see a breakdown of Clarke's effective possessions vs TOG in 09 GF.Once again not dirty on the player just pissed off with him being left onn for so long,
Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!
You rotate mids these days. Once Clarke was picked and he deserved to be picked he had to play most of the game. It isnt 1980 anymore.whiskers3614 wrote:Guess we will never know, pretty sure I read he took something significant into the game.i am not too good on computers/stats etc but would be interested to see a breakdown of Clarke's effective possessions vs TOG in 09 GF.Once again not dirty on the player just pissed off with him being left onn for so long,

Not looking for excuses, just a little annoyed at the mass adulation on these pages accorded to a coach who did a GREAT JOB getting us to GF's but I believe made some monumental blunders on the day(which some on here will not concede)

Ross did a great job in installing a new gameplan and a new found commitment in the team. He made some mistakes but Ross was one of the first to admit he did.whiskers3614 wrote:Not looking for excuses, just a little annoyed at the mass adulation on these pages accorded to a coach who did a GREAT JOB getting us to GF's but I believe made some monumental blunders on the day(which some on here will not concede)

I don't really care about trying to analyze what Grant did or what Ross did.whiskers3614 wrote:Must just be me then. Never warmed to the bloke's public persona, felt his shortcomings were always glossed over.also think not enough credit given to predecessor for grooming/maturing squad Lyon took over.
I care very much about what Scott can do however.

What about the broken jaw he played with in the finals and the prelim. He was so weak that we had five on the bench to cover for him. Think he staed on the ground though.plugger66 wrote:Yep Eddy was a disgrace. Varcoe provided spark a few times in the game. He did a Milne-esque performance. Bobbed up and had a gun few patches and didn't get too much of the football for the rest.Scollop wrote:Oooooops I meant Varcoedragit wrote:I reckon if Scott had left out Vardy, the Cats would have still won the flag, just a hunch…Scollop wrote:Just imagine what would've happened if Chris Scott left out Vardy
What the hell did Vardy contribute to the flag?
