Linen House Centre

Post: # 1173604Post tony74 »

Went down to watch training this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see all the temporary fencing has been pulled down. Anyone who has been to the centre earlier this year would know how ugly and unwelcoming the steel fences were. Could see no real reason for them except to keep the public well away from the players. A breath of fresh air with them gone and on a beautiful sunny morning as today the place looked great and welcoming. Maybe its just a coincidence but it follows the clubs warm and fuzzy approach to the fans.

More reason that I think the move will pay off in the future

Still think we lack behind many other clubs who have been upgraded. Allthough it does look nicer than last year.

They are going to have to fly the team over to WA and send them down to Freo oval and their old lyin coach will lock the gates so they can run around and remember the fun days when they treated the supporters as mushrooms.

Watters is from a club where they couldn't exactly hide while training, think most will be open IMO.

Thanks for the photos.

Interesting to see they're using footballs from day one.

Lenny looks the only one that looks chiselled, toned and not carrying any excee body fat. But that's Lenny a real professional.

Thanks for the pics SS

Work on fitness side of things, dont need to be working on skills on Day 1 of pre season IMO

They are supposed to maintain their fitness while the good ones will come back fitter. If you come back fitter and you better previous time trials etc they notice. It's a bit more sophisticated these days.

I agree but the fencing gave the feeling the centre was unfinished, unwelcoming and visitors not wanted. I might be reading more into it but my impression today was " Wow, what a great looking place"- even though I had been there many, many times for training. I reckon the players must drive up now and think this has a good feel now.
