Amongst other things, was asked about Zac's future at the Saints. Scott said that discussions were ongoing about new contracts for 2-3 players. Still some work to do there. We have until November 11 to finalise them.
Lenny's knee, medicos are rapt with rehab and he is tracking well. Optimistic about round 1 start. Will do modified program.
Scott has now met 20-25 of the players as they are still on holidays. All positive.
Really happy to have Laidley on board. Has great strategic and tactical knowledge.
Peter Burge was at club for first day of work y'day. Scott said Burge left with his head spinning after he spent a couple of hours with him. Lots to take in in first 24 hrs. Really good get for club, from very good Hawthorn system.
Again spoke of keeping our strong defense and adding a few more dimensions to the forward half.
Youth will be given a go. Excited about Academy setup and will be important in providing the skills to push these guys through.

Another thing he said was that Laidley is very good at "building a team" and getting a good feel within the group. Said that this was an under-rated skill of Laidleys.
Once again he was asked about the bubble, and said that we would be part of the bigger football community, and that this may result in less pressure finals time as we are used to the media etc, instead of being insular. (My words).
