We can win the first 17!

Post: # 1170473Post perfectionist »

Just looking at the fix, and although there are a couple of toughies, with a bit of luck, we can win the first 17. There is only one thing stopping us - the quality of our list. Perhaps, with some good pickin's in the next few weeks, that will be resolved. Of course, 17 in a row would be a bit of a non event, given our run of 19 in 2009.

New coach...new players....new game plan...we could just as easily lose the first 17...

Six debutants for the Saints so far in Season 2024. :D

I agree. We will go 17-0 then go on and win the Tooth Fairy cup with Cayden Beetham winning the most promising hair permer award for a music group or pop artist.

You will then wake up and realise you have wet your bed and that it all was a terrible dream. OR WAS IT? Cue over dramatic Hitchcock music to reach a devestating and defening cresendo.

....and they all lived happily ever after!

THE END!

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

That running streak of 19 to start the 2009 season is so incredibly rare...in fact no other St Kilda team has ever got close to that in the team's history.

Dream on for sure (We'd all love it of course) but don't get too cocky!

Goodonya!
Love your optimism
Weirder stuf has happened and I hope your on the money
Ten bucks with a bookie for us to win the 1st 17 would reap you a nice payout
Go for it ... And I might put a buck on as well... We still in bed with centerbet??

We will be reinvigorated and ready to go, impossible to say how much, but no reason to think we can't. I actually think it will be an open field next season. Pies have an actual draw that isn't an armchair ride, Geelong have some old boys gone and Menzel gone for a year. Some of the young ones might slide as well. Hawks and carlton are probably next in line and west coast are rising but if we can't slot into that lot and be competitive I would be surprised.

I'd much, much rather win our last 17 games of the season than our first 17
