and still using the 'our' in relation to recent past
Arguably, St Kilda's soul has been scarred during the past 12 months.
"I'm respectful of an organisation where I've only been for two minutes," Watters said.
"But have there been some testing circumstances over the past two or three years? Absolutely.
"And have some of those situations been brought on by our behaviour? Probably. But what a new coach presents is an opportunity to reflect on a few things you want to change and have a big say in how you want to shape things going forward.
"I care about the (past) because we're all shaped by it to a degree and I need to get a feel about what imprint the past has had on this playing group.
"But in the brief period of time I've seen, the players can't help but sense an optimism and engagement to change. You don't have to be defined by your past."

I am absolutely excited about the possibilities for our club since Scott Watters was appointed as coach. The assistants that he has gathered so far are very strong and capable people. If you that that whatisname that coached Geelong this year was a genius, then look out because i really feel that big things are going to happen for us this year. I think that Watters is going to make things happen 'right from the get go'.
I'm livin' in a madhouse

Fremantle born and bred, Watters was a boom young player from a football-rich area.
Fremantle's inclusion in the AFL in 1995 was a no-brainer: Watters was going home.
Our clash against Freo will be hyped up like no other game next year.
Couldn't help but have the thought when reading the HS article that Waters will coach Freo at some point if he does well at the Saints.

I liked the article in the HS. As Bratty said he is always referring to "our" club. I think that show good leadership. He embraced the new recruits Ahmed and Terry which i found great. RL would of been lucky to shake there hand. The best comment i liked was "if you play good footy in the two's you will be rewarded with senior footy".
