11 players out of contract . Who are they?
Dehnam on sen just said that we have 11 players out of contract .
Just wondering who they are?
If we use our first 5 picks in the draft , plus our two forwards we just picked up - thats at least seven we have to get rid of off the list.
We ve already de listed 4 in Gards , baker, eddy, and maqualter.
Who else do you reckon?
Obviously there is no point de listing a player with a year left on their contract as that doesnt save us any money on the salary cap anyway.

I believe they are....
Seany D
CJ
Blake
Raph
Dawson
Ray
Polo
Gamble
Peake
+ Rookies (Ferguson/Curren/Andreoli???)
Not sure whether he's counting guys like Bakes and Gardiner though, or Lynch and Walsh.
We can delist contracted players, but recently they have been reinstated on the rookie list, which might help fit in the draft picks and the new boys. Guys like Al Smith and Heyne would be candidates I'd imagine.

Thanx St chris.
Out of those i would prob only like to see Polo and Gamble get the ass.
I dont think there is much point keeping gamble as he wont bulk up any more and we have just recruited two other smallish mature age forwards.
Id like to keep Blake on a small contract as a backup ruckman / defender.
Also like to keep Raph for another year under a new coach.
I forgot about Lynch and Walsh being taken off the list which makes 6 so far.
We need to keep dempster, ray dawson, cj and peak had his best year at the club.

The word is that Blake and CJ have signed. L2M4G has vouched for Blake and aussiethunda for CJ, both as I understand it off the back of first hand conversations at the B&F.
"... You want to pose a threat to the opposition in as many ways as you can, both defensively and offensively. We've got a responsibility to explore all those possibilities - and we will."

Well, it's "big call" time now for the new regime.
Unfortunately, "salary cap" pressure may be a major trigger for some, rather than on-field performance.
I am confident that they will find the right player mix. The problem is, we are likely to lose at least one player that we would have liked to have kept.

National drafted players only. Rookie draftees Hutchings, Tungatulum only lasted a year.borderbarry wrote:Are not rookies signed on for 2 years? If so, Ferguson Curren and Andreoli are all safe.
