He needs to get on the real "A" league programs - needs to do an interview on the late nite show on SEN before he can say he has made it!!! Incidentally Darren has already interviewed Scott a few times obviously unaware of how things would pan out. Now Darren would be most keen to do an in-depth with him.

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Had trouble getting Watters on the phone so they're doing some other rubbish about people named Kevin and Sharron????

Glad I live in Brisbane!

Scott Watters on MMM

First thing to do is meet the staff, sort out assistant coaches. Harvey still coach at this stage. Would love Harves to be there but he’s weighing up what he wants to do. Would love to have him but he needs to do what’s best for him.

Laidley - Has enormous amount of respect and he’ll speak to him in a couple of days.

Fitness staff – Great candidates out there and one will be picked.

Game plan – Have to embrace defence. Need to work on offence. Will balance both.

Not involved in getting Saad and Milera, was Pelchen’s move.

WAFL coaching experience will help. Having being head coach is great experience.

Said he joined the club after that but the recruitment guys knew what they wanted and they did well. So he didn't really say he liked the fact but I got the impression he was happy with the new recruits

Just listened to Pelchen.

Can ensure supporters it's not doom and gloom, in fact it's completely the opposite - had big wraps for Saad and Milera.

A lot of work to do with the contracts and cap but doesn't expect any star players will walk away and confident that the playing group will stay intact.

Continuity of games for younger players was affected by early results which compromised what Lyon was trying to achieve.

Believes a lot of the younger players are in fact very talented and that simply hasn't been exposed at the top level.

Expects - and Watters has said - they fully intend to utilise the model of rebuilding while contending.

Resources aren't unlimited but the extra funding announced by the AFL will assist the club to meet its football department needs.

Oct 31 is the cutoff for delistings, the coach will have a say as will others, none of the decisions are made in isolation and an announcement could be expected a couple of days before the final date.

"... You want to pose a threat to the opposition in as many ways as you can, both defensively and offensively. We've got a responsibility to explore all those possibilities - and we will."

A couple of callers took exception to Pelchen associating the phrase "sustained success" with St Kilda.
