In all seriousness, maybe Nettlefold is there in regards to contracts? That is my only explanation for it.

I can only think that Nettlefold is there as mediator. There may be conflicting views between the footy department stakeholders (Pelchen, Bains, Elshaug, Watters) as to what might be in the club's best interests.
