Height: 175cm
Weight: 75kg
DOB: 21/08/92
Club: Murray Bushrangers
Bio: Small forward with incredible strength and speed. Takes a mark unbelievably well for his size. Played well for the Murray Bushrangers in 2010.
In his own words
What type of player are you?
I am a small to mid-sized forward who creates opportunities from forward-line pressure. I have good repeat efforts and I throw my body at every contest.
Which AFL player do you feel you resemble and why?
James Hird. I am able to play in the midfield and I can kick goals. I can read the play and think ahead, which Hird was able to do.
What are your strengths as a footballer?
Being able to use both sides of my body. Hit targets, tackle strongly, take contested marks overhead and I have strong second and third efforts.
What parts of your game would you like to improve?
I see my fitness and gut running as an area I can always improve, as well as better communication on field. Also working on my midfield abilities.
Which AFL team do you support and how did you come to barrack for them?
The Brisbane Lions because I used to live in Queensland. I love how Jonathan Brown goes about his footy.
Who has been the biggest influence on your career so far, and why?
As a child I always looked up to my Dad and wanted, and still do, to follow in his footsteps. He was a great role model for me.

Let's not go nuts here. Marty Clarke is pretty average and gets more attention due to being Irish. I call this the 'Tommy Walsh effect'. Yes I am aware of who has played football more and earlier however I am sticking to this theory. I expect Saintsational to patent this so called effect.SaintSimmo wrote:Collingwood definitely won the trade

I reckon those two players alone (elliot and clarke) are/will be better than what GWS will get at pick 25 in a shallow draftThe Redeemer wrote:Let's not go nuts here. ADELAIDE forward Jack Gunston has been traded to Hawthorn.
In a deal completed on Wednesday, Adelaide traded Gunston along with it's third round National Draft pick (53) and it's fourth round pick (71) to the Hawks for their round one selection (24), round two selection (46) and round three selection (64).
STRENGTH THROUGH LOYALTY.

man, where did you get that sentence from? misplaced apostrophes and mixed verb subjects ("it" and "they"). horrible writing.dcstkfc wrote:In a deal completed on Wednesday, Adelaide traded Gunston along with it's third round National Draft pick (53) and it's fourth round pick (71) to the Hawks for their round one selection (24), round two selection (46) and round three selection (64).

Hey Rosco, some of those profiles are hilarious.
Who can forget Sam McGarry, taken at #80 in the 2008 Rookie Draft, and delisted by the Saints 12 months later:

I'd like to say Chris Judd or Gary Ablett, but I'm not sure – that's a tough question. I see bits of me in different players."

There was a bit of talk on here about his "attitude" but it may have in fact been just talk.avid wrote:I thought Sam McGarry was going to be an absolute gun (going by his you-tube clips).noob wrote:I played with Sam, was a very good footballer.. don't know why he only lasted 12 months
Completely wrong, obviously. But I wondered why at the time. Does anybody know?
