Trade With Brisbane & Adelaide?

Post: # 1160129Post sax »

Have this from a very good source (Tomato)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tom Lynch to Adelaide
Adelaide give their 3rd round pick to Brisbane
Brisbane give St Kilda Sam Sheldon & throw in Brendan Fevola (as he's still listed)
I'd take this in a heart beat!

If true, yeh bring that on!

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

Sheldon is another with poor foot skills although he's a pretty tough player and can get it

Another opportunity awaits!

Why would we trade for Fev on a contract when a club could more than likely Rookie list him/grab him on minimum?

How is that good ?

So we use a first round pick. And then 3 years later. With some investment thrown in. Tada ! We magically turn it in to a 3rd round pick.

How is it good?

No biggy - it happens. Didn't Farren Ray go top 4?

No biggy? We shouldn't give up a first round draft pick, a 192cm kpp prospect who hasn't really had a chance for another medium sized onballer with questionable skills. Ray, while a high pick, is just another mid. KPP's take longer to come good, I'd only be satisfied to lose Lynch if we got something similar in return, ie Gunston.

Injury prone to the max. 40 games since being drafted in 2006 or something. No thanks

If he was that good he would've played more games. Forget what we paid for him - it's what he's worth that counts.

Why would that be a good deal for us? Basically we are getting Sam Sheldon for Tom Lynch because we could easily pick Fev up in either of the drafts if we really wanted him..

Why would you trade for Fevola when if you did, he'd have to be on your senior list, but if you wait for Brisbane to delist him, you can put him on your "permission to trade to become a rookie" list and not make a decision on him until February?

Sometimes you have to listen to (or think about) the rumour, and if there is a glaring lack of logic to it, call SHENANIGANS!

Then again, Ross may have given up pick 20 for Fev and then turned him into a back pocket player, so things are looking up whatever happens :)

Just a question, how good was Jack Watts in his first 6 games?

It has been expected for a far while now that Maric (Ade) would go to Richmond, so far this is not the case, and the deal seems to have gone quiet like many other trade rumours going around.

The word going around is that Adelaide are not satisfied with the offer from richmond and are fielding offers from other clubs. I would think we are one of these clubs and could offer something like this:

Ivan Maric for 2nd Round Pick & Tom Lynch??

This is what i am dreaming for:

Ivan Maric & Jack Gunston for Tom Lynch & Jason Gram & 4th Round Pick

Sainter for life.
