Mark ROBINSON.. H-S & SEN !!
After listening to Robbo on SEN yesterday I got the impression that he is heading down the Hutchy path of journalistic ethics.
He WHINGED that Michael Nettlefold hadn't returned his calls yesterday when he rang requesting an interview on "The Coaching Situation" at St Kilda. Robbos research didn't quite extend far enough to realize that Nettlefold might have been just a bit busy conducting the interviews for the very coaching position that was trying to get a story/scoop on.
I know that a number of journos will be invited, and attend the Trevor Barker Medal. If Robbo is one of these I might just remind him of his journalistic stupidity !!

Robbo who has actually to me been sympathetic to saints- and probably knarled by RL issue, is possibly suffering due to his colleagues.

The Crows are also keen to secure little-used St Kilda forward Tom Lynch, who has played just one game for the Saints in each of the past two seasons after being a first-round selection in the 2008 national draft.

What do you think will be fair compensation if he was traded Thunda?stkildathunda wrote:No, saying Lynch played more then 1 game this year, he played 5.Saints94 wrote:Are you saying there not after him?stkildathunda wrote:saintbrat wrote:where as greg Denham has had contact..

Reckon he could possibly become part of a trade for Gunston. But we'd probably have to throw in a 2nd or 3rd round pick aswell... Its hard to know what he is worth cos lets be honest hasnt shown much at AFL level, but that mainly due to our ex-coach playing him out of position.Saints94 wrote:What do you think will be fair compensation if he was traded Thunda?stkildathunda wrote:No, saying Lynch played more then 1 game this year, he played 5.Saints94 wrote:Are you saying there not after him?stkildathunda wrote:saintbrat wrote:where as greg Denham has had contact..

He was recruited as a forward and played forward in the seniors. He played back in the reserves but there was no spot in the seniors in the backline and lets face it he is to slow for the backline anyway. The choice was to play him forward or not play him at all.stkildathunda wrote:Reckon he could possibly become part of a trade for Gunston. He might have been recruited as a forward but he wasnt playing forward in the VFL. Only reason there wasnt room in backline cos our coach didnt want to drop his favourites even when they were seriously out of form. When you have someone knocking on the door for as long as Lynch has most coaches would have found room for him to see if he can do it at senior level.plugger66 wrote:He was recruited as a forward and played forward in the seniors. Firstly who should he have dropped and secondly he is to slow for the backline at the moment, pace and thinking wise.stkildathunda wrote:He might have been recruited as a forward but he wasnt playing forward in the VFL. Lets see along the way Gilbert, Blake, Baker, Dempster(earlier in year), Raph all should have been dropped at one time or another.plugger66 wrote:Firstly who should he have dropped and secondly he is to slow for the backline at the moment, pace and thinking wise.stkildathunda wrote:He might have been recruited as a forward but he wasnt playing forward in the VFL. Most of those were dropped and Lynch wasnt considered good enough to replace tham at the time.stkildathunda wrote:Lets see along the way Gilbert, Blake, Baker, Dempster(earlier in year), Raph all should have been dropped at one time or another.plugger66 wrote:Firstly who should he have dropped and secondly he is to slow for the backline at the moment, pace and thinking wise.stkildathunda wrote:He might have been recruited as a forward but he wasnt playing forward in the VFL. I like Robbo, he will not spin a yarn about a story unless he is very sure of the accuracy you don't get to much BS out of his mouth. Nettlefold may not of returned his calls for 3 days which i would find more accurate.saintspremiers wrote:I'm more concerned Nettlefold has a job with us to return calls!

Nettlefold may not like the way Robbo's tongue continually hangs out of his mouth...he comes across as a bit of a weirdo on Game Day.....good on Nettlefold for having standards....ando051 wrote:I like Robbo, he will not spin a yarn about a story unless he is very sure of the accuracy you don't get to much BS out of his mouth.
