Trade Week starts next Monday!
I love trade week.
Full of hope but often disappoints.
At least it is a full week this year.
So bring on the rumours!
FWIW I think Pelchen may deliver a trade or two - he prob wants to make a statement and get on the front foot.

If Pelchen wants to make a statement he should just use his mouth and start talking like most people do.saintspremiers wrote:I love trade week.

Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.

He made a statement by getting the coach to move on.SaintPav wrote:If Pelchen wants to make a statement he should just use his mouth and start talking like most people do.saintspremiers wrote:I love trade week.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

i just put this in another topic:
rumour that we're making a play for jack gunston - who has put hawthorn as his preferred club although adel are not satisfied with their offer - apparently st kilda have put an offer on the table that they are
if true my guess it involves:
offloading stanley who is not contracted and a sa kid
using pick 20
three way deal involving jones + player/pick to eagles > brad ebert to crows > gunston to st k

Where are you hearing these rumours Old Mate? Big footy?Old Mate wrote:it would have to be better than the roos offer of pick 18 (rumoured).Richter wrote:How about:
Jones to Fremantle for pick 56
Gunston to St Kilda for pick 20
(if that isn't enough then through in pick 56 to sweeten the deal)
Not sure how we can improve our offer any more than our first pick. Pick 18 is better than 20 + a third rounder or peripheral player like Stanley.
Maybe
Picks 20, 42 for Gunston and pick 53
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...
Maybe someone like Gunston, who is a young potential medium forward is better than what we might pick up at 20 in the draft.plugger66 wrote:If we trade it must be for picks only. And really unless a player wants to leave why would you trade a regular for a third rounder. Just leave trade period alone.

Yep but to get young talent means you are going to lose a first or second round pick. Isnt that what people are bagging RL for. Anyway the way i see it young must be really young, like under 22 because if they any older they wont help us in the next rebuild.Old Mate wrote:with the exception of young talentplugger66 wrote:If we trade it must be for picks only.

ross picked up mature bodied rejects not young talent
Schneider and Dempster werent old. Anyway you are happy to lose a first or second rounder obviously. That isnt what I would do. With inly about 10 trades this year and no coach I cant see us being big players.Old Mate wrote:i dont believe soplugger66 wrote:Yep but to get young talent means you are going to lose a first or second round pick. According to Ameet Bains or whatever his name is, we won't be doing much in trade week.plugger66 wrote:Schneider and Dempster werent old.
