I would say all of the following are vulnerable under a new coach.
Paul Cahill
Wil Johnson
Alistair Smith
Nick Heyne
Ryan Gamble
Daniel Archer
Warrick Andreoli
Raphael Clarke
Jarryn Geary
Dean Polo
Jason Blake
While these guys could also come under pressure or be shopped around.
Jason Gram
Clinton Jones
Justin Koschitzke
Farren Ray
Zac Dawson
Brett Peake
Having said that, I personally would keep the six above.

We are not going to move 17 players....not even ten...
2 of the three young key fwds will go....cahill, johnson, archer
Hopefully cloggers polo and gamble will get the boot....
Raph clarke must be delisted...for everyones sake (including him)
Gilbert, lynch.....shopped.....can only trade 1 of them
Couple of the rookies get the boot.....walsh upgraded.
Heyne demoted
4 kids drafted.....
2 rookies included...

Well from you have written you are getting rid of 9 from our main list as well if you include the 3 already gone. They will not want 8 or so picks next season. Would think it would be 5 at the most.BigMart wrote:We are not going to move 17 players....not even ten...

Basically, this is an order the list exercise.
Untouchables? Siposs, Steven, McEvoy, Hayes, Montagna, Riewoldt, Schneider, Goddard, Fisher, Dal Santo, Gwilt, Milne, Cripps, Ledger.
We've also just re-signed Winmar, Gilbert, Armitage and Simpkin, so cross them off the list. Crocker still has a year to run also, and I think Kosi too.
Baker, Gardiner & McQualter are already gone.
That leaves Gram, Jones, Dawson, Clarke, Geary, Heyne, Ray, Dempster, Blake, Stanley, Lynch, Peake, Polo, Johnson, Smith & Cahill.
From least safe to most safe:
Cahill
Heyne
Johnson
Blake
Smith
Lynch
Polo
Gram
Geary
Clarke
Jones
Stanley
Peake
Ray
Dempster
Dawson

I know he's played some good games this year, in fact some of the games he has played this year would rate amongst the bext in his career but it's time to go I think. More so the raph haters can give him a rest, poor bloke.
In fact I agree with most of what you've posted there BM

By all reports, we need to shed some salary cap space, so I think guys in the 15-30 mark on our list might be turned over, and we've already seen McQ and Bakes gone from that bracket.
Guys like:
Al Smith,
Farren Ray,
Nick Heyne,
Will Johnson,
Paul Cahill,
Jarryn Geary,
As well as some possible trade bait in Stanley, Dawson, Jones etc.

Farren Ray is just outside the top 10 in my opinion, no chance he'll be delisted, possibly trade bait though along with Gilbert, Gram, Clarke, Dawson, Geary, Lynch and perhaps Dempster (I can't see the new coach retaining both Jones and Dempster).St Chris wrote:By all reports, we need to shed some salary cap space, so I think guys in the 15-30 mark on our list might be turned over, and we've already seen McQ and Bakes gone from that bracket.

I am surprised alot of people want Archer delisted or think he might be a candidate to go.
Archer is one of the guys who impressed me most when watching some training sessions - He never gave up and put in 100% when others clearly werent.
I think another pre season will quicken him up and he could be be a real find clunking big marks and kicking goals and pinch hitting in the ruck when its in the FWD 50.
Keeping him also puts some competition into the spot that Kosi , Stanley, Walsh and Archer will be vying for.
I think giving Archer and Stanley lots of game time next year will help evolve their playing careers and guide the coaches in refining the list.
I really think Archer will be the surprise packet.
Having four blokes competing for a FWD postion will foster a healthy competition and hopefully a goal kicking hunger amongst them.

so wait, we should delist a first 22 player currently in clarke because a proportion of the supporters are idiotic...... hmmmm
What next, us supporters get to choose the draftees and the captain, stupid all round!

Interstate rookies.....two year contracts....can extend to a third.
Archer is a funny one......has a crack and could be ok at a bottom club...gold coast, port would have been a lot better with him....
But a serious contender....not so sure
Could he be a Chris Dawes, Podsiadly, o hailpen, jesse white type....
