The coaching structure we need
Hopefully it will resemble Essendon with Hird overseen by Bomber Thompson,Neeld overseen by Neil Craig..love Melbournes coaching choices with Mission ,Viney and Royal to compliment the 2 mentioned...may'be a Watters, Hinkley ,Silvagni ,Cameron,Tudor or Harvey overseen and mentored by Eade ...the structure required in these highly technical, almost scientific tactical times ....no doubt in my mind !!!

Is Neil Craig confirmed at Melbourne?
Hmm....
Balme has done similar for a while with Cats think we should do same and not get sucked into any more go maniac "I want to do it all " coaches tbh.
We need a great team.
I like Watter with support from a Craig/Eade if available......or even a Malthouse helping a Watters would be nice (only ofcourse if it was untennable at Pies..)
Be great to have Tudor back but hes signed at Swans for 3yrs so I see....so who is some quality assistants to put round him?
Hed have his own anyway.

Craig confirmed at Melbourne Today.. so Neeld,Craig,Viney,Royal and Mission..you would have to be happy with that as a supporter..know I would be!!!may,be a recently retired Cameron Ling or Darren Milburn would be a sep in the right direction as an assistant just out of the game !!

Think the mentor assistant role would appeal to Eade as it has to Bomber Thompson and Neil Craig..that is my prefered option and better for the longterm I reckon

Watters wouldnt leave Pies to be an assistant at St Kilda.BigMart wrote:I would like

Eade tactically is out of ideas for mine and is now at "senior statesman" type territory but great to support a fresh coach like Watters.
Must say just listening to Watters speak...he handles himself v well.

If he wants to further his ambitions, it may be a part of his journey to becoming a senior coach.
Up until last year, I can't remember Saints being a club assistants avoided.
He is about to be offered the key assistants role under a NEW coach at Collingwood looking after its midfield.......a side preparing to go back to back???
Aside from that......Watters has been anointed as "ready" by Malthouse....what incentive is their for him to leave the most succesful organisation in football at present to come to a club that is coachless?

Would like Watters or Richardson senior coach - which I posted from day 1 (I had included Rob Harvey)
Keep Rob Harvey as asst, and don't care if they retain King, Kingsley
Then if the budget can stand it add 2 more out of: Mark Harvey senior asst, German, Prescott, Mitchell, someone just out of the game, like say Brad Miller if he retires

And a bloody men teflon
We need to worry about the entire coaching team. Saints fans are way to obsessed with the messiah. The super coach. The saviour. The religious experience. I'm far less obsessed with the head coach and more focussed on the entire coaching team.
There are no saviours or super heros. Let's just get a component coach and a super coaching team.
