THE MEDIA can't bring themselves to write a GOOD story about the Saints, can they?
Did anyone know that Nick Dal Santo finished a clear 2nd in the Brownlow medal (Mitchell doesn't count - this year at least)?
Yeah 2nd. A great effort what with all the earlier shenanigans and all, but NOOOOO mention as far as I could tell.
Well done Nicky Dal.

According to the Hun, Melbourne poached him from the Hawks.
Of course nothing about a crisis with the Hawks. Nothing about the travel time to Waverley etc

Hope we don't lose too many players in the carnage that can be trade week.

Most of us fans love our players and get very defensive about them. It's always sad when they leave for whatever reason.saintnick12 wrote:Me too sadlyBernard Shakey wrote:Reckon you're right.SainterK wrote:Reckon it's not over yet

Unfortunately, without such change it's very difficult to achieve the success we all crave.
Let's hope any pain is not too bad.

Just hope they don't trade one of the big guns - all that fabric of the club stuff etc. Big guns shouldn't be traded, unless of course they want to go....we don't want people who don't want to be with us.

Bazza was traded to Sydney in 2001. Only 2 outward trades since then.borderbarry wrote:Its been a fair while since we lost a player at trade week has'nt it? Luke Ball for instance went in the draft. We may have to go as far back as Bazza to Sydney as our last. Anybody think of someone more recent?
2002 we traded Peter Everitt to Hawthorn for picks 6 & 22
2004 we traded Heath Black back to Fremantle in exchange for Troy Simmonds who we ontraded to Richmond for Aaron Fiora.
If the movement is limited to the players, I will be surprised.saintnick12 wrote:Me too sadlyBernard Shakey wrote:Reckon you're right.SainterK wrote:Reckon it's not over yet

Agree though SN, think this will be a tough trade week given the club has been quite settled for quite a long time now.
