All about the money
Whilst it was his option to leave
I cant have that he allowed our mangement/his management to be be in discussion that had both parties agreed on a contract BUT behind both he dealt direct with Freo
Stabbing Saints/his management and Harvey
He was prepared to do anything...................
for money replacement

Re: All about the money
I thought that it was pretty clear he couldn't involve his management because they also managed Harvey. He couldn't ask his management to stop negotiations when he couldn't give them the reason why.chook23 wrote:Whilst it was his option to leave

He's renowned for spending a lot of time at the office.
And lost over $1m of the family's wealth....
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...
Hmm... I think I know what you're getting at SB. If so, certainly increases my empathy for the family's situation.saintbrat wrote:yeh and I'm sad he never did that at the saints- ps mrs check photo carefully- maybe a little extra reason for the $$ need...

Yeah exactly. kinda like losing the girl you thought would last forever. people just going through the stages of grief. Loss, anger, upset, forgiveness.SaintPav wrote:Everyone should admit that they are pissed off becuae they liked him so much. I did.Old Mate wrote:He was backing two horses and Freo won. It would be interesting to know what Lyon's "Demands" were in relation to the "UP FRONT" component of his contract negotiations with BOTH ST Kilda & Fremantle were. It has been said that Freo offered in excess of $1Mill up front. If true, its even more astounding that the deal was done in 72 hours !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Not a great character, and that story doesn't sound right to me either...how does it all fit in with Melbourne's alleged huge offer, or his 3 day turn-around on deciding to leave the club? Was he not being offered money from St Kilda too?

It would be ironic if money he lost in a mining venture was replaced (and then some) by money made from mining.....Eastern wrote:It would be interesting to know what Lyon's "Demands" were in relation to the "UP FRONT" component of his contract negotiations with BOTH ST Kilda & Fremantle were. Maybe he lost all his money on a bad wager? I'm not surprised he's fleeing Centrebet!markp wrote:It would be ironic if money he lost in a mining venture was replaced (and then some) by money made from mining.....Eastern wrote:It would be interesting to know what Lyon's "Demands" were in relation to the "UP FRONT" component of his contract negotiations with BOTH ST Kilda & Fremantle were. If you think the whole truth is in that article, I think you're dreaming.
And I bet Rod would have lent him some cash!
How come he gets to use our elite training facility for his family snaps?

It must have been dreadful for Ross.
The poor man had to sell his investment properties and was forced to just live on his salary.
Was almost forced to get his wife to work.
Talk about doing it tough.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
