Thank You Saintsational
the venting and differing opinions and information have helped me remain semi calm.
in the most part with acceptance of the differance.
and now look to the future- I have my ideas of who I wouldn't like to see, and that the club needs to work toward a Skilled- experienced or not- coach who is willing to continue to do the hard yards- doesn't matter how close or faraway the list may seem to be - someone with the sklls is essential..
I am still having palpitations, but the calmness and solidity of Michael and Greg this morning was fine for me- would do our club and it's image absolutely No good to rant and rave--- it's members will do that... ( await the boos Ross)
But the number or saints supporters and members who are putting forward some opinion show this club does have Passion about it's future..
Get on board whether you completely agree or not- they can't do it without us.
Go saints

It doesnt matter there will always be an abundance of coaches in the waiting. The most important thing is that we take our time and make a careful decision. Look for someone from left field to pop up. Adam Simpson recently out of the game has an already good reputation.Junction Oval wrote:What worries me, is that we are well behind other Clubs in the chase for a coach.
I am not sure whether the Club knows what it wants in terms of experience, style etc. If you wait for a "committee" to decide, the best coaches will be gone !

not necesarily on your own GoTheTorp but it was good to read both sides...GoTheTorp wrote:I must have been in a minority, i was glad to see him gone.
Enough was enough, the tired old game plan was getting behond boring.
and for most part to me people have accepted that others have differning opinions- But the variety makes it easier to form an opinion.

Also good to keep in mind is that we (probably Walls) really dragged Lyon from obscurity, he wasn't even going to apply for a senior coach role, 5 years later he is head-hunted as one of the best coaches in the country.
Great coaches don't have to be past premiership players or have 25 years head coaching experience, Ross was neither but had done a great apprenticeship… there will be others…
