Greg Baum is a low life and a real smart arse

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Instead, this morning, Collingwood (rather awkwardly) has two coaches, Fremantle one and St Kilda half of one. Or, to put it another way, St Kilda has a coach called Harvey, Fremantle has a coach called Lyon, and Melbourne has Lyon, but still no coach. It's that simple.
Don't like the article but had to laugh at that.

reading between the lines, I think a few players are glad to get new breath of fresh air.

Word is he was a hard task master and last years (2010) assistant coaches couldn't stand him.

Held on to too many plodders and role players. And if he got his nose out of joint because of Plechen, then really his ego got in the way. He had too much power as did GT, will be glad to see some young players getting a real chance.

the story will become murkier and more sureall as the days go

but you'd think some 'simple facts' could be easily checked
Nick Riewoldt turns 29 tomorrow, Sam Fisher and Justin Koschitzke are already 29, Lenny Hayes will be 32 by next season and Nick Dal Santo will be 28 by next year.
Nick not 29 till next month, Kosi next week
but the other three are correct

this following line is good because it sums up Ross Lyon and it sums up and justifies Westaway and his boards decision to appoint Pelchen. ; Football, let's face it, and despite protestations of teamsmanship, is every man for himself. There is no such thing as morality, just results.

Lyon as a coach had every opportunity and he failed to get the ultimate result. I am so confident that the guy will not be able to succeed anywhere he goes, no matter who his assistants are. I'm convinced he cannot teach, motivate and develop and instill confidence in young footballers. He has not shown faith in young footballers. If you can't recruit and teach and develop, and motivate you won't win a flag.
