"If you can't do it, come see me, and I'll move you on&
That was his message to his players after the 2009 grand final.
I find a certainy irony in this speech.
Appears he isn't made of the 'stuff' I thought he was.
You know I emailed him earlier this year, and he told me he was as committed as ever to his boys.
Meh.
"Commited"
I think not.

Yep.
And I agree with his sentiment....
If you don't want to be with us....get out....and don't let the door hit you on the way out................
I loved Ross, but he doesn't want to be with us, isn't a man of his word....
Now the search begins for the replacement....someone who wants to be with us....

I reckon at that time he probably was. I was watching the preseason speil about he club challenges and realised he really did feel keen and excited.SainterK wrote:That was his message to his players after the 2009 grand final.

This dried up in the first 6 weeks big time and the recent events with poor finals performance and players not wanting to be retired probably have discounted Ros as the players choice now. He would have read that to some degree.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Exactly. When will people realise he has no emotional involvement with us and had decided through reasons that none of us know that it was time to move us if you arent committed. Seems exactly the right thing to do unless people want him to coach just because he has a contract. How stupid would that be considering some people think he didnt care about a final.rexy wrote:In a way he has lived by his own sentiment, couldnt do it, obviously doesnt want to be with us so has left.
At least he is practicing what he has preached.

We the supporters are there year in year out. Coaches and players come and go.
Always get a bit cynical when the coach (who has been at 4-6 clubs previously) gets all misty eyed about the club. They are career coaches and as the song goes...'Love the one you're with.....'
We are stuck with our first love....
And I love 'em....Go Saints!!
