First post - Proving a Negative
Hello all Saintsational-ers.
As a long time lurker, first time poster I was wondering what might provide the subject of my first foray. Then it became obvious in recent days with the appearance of some other new posters and the almost immediate labelling of them as "trolls".
I was immediately left to wonder how I would go about avoiding this tag - particularly because it was not apparent to me how these apparent trolls had given themselves away to the well-trained eyes of experienced SS members.
I guess not posting needlessly provocative rubbish might be a good start but ultimately I can only think of using my avatar to produce photographic evidence of my St.Kilda pedigree (eg standing on my crate at the back of the terraces at Linton St during the final game on the hallowed turf) but I am not sure I am sufficiently technologically skilled to do this.
Perhaps answering obscure questions about events at Saints games from the 80s onwards (eg at which ground was Damian Kitschke "run" down in the goal square?).
So, is there a way from the get-go to prove you are not a Filth troll?
P.S. thanks to the poster (can't remember who) who finally motivated me to join in anger by declaring Roo was "pathetic" and made him/her want to "spew up".

here's the directions for avatar posting
http://www.saintsational.com/forum/view ... hp?t=52308
and welcome
stupid repeatitive posts often lead people to think- young
or troll wanting to annoy
and posters can not like players or club actions But nonsensical degrading of the club or team will lead to posters thinking your a troll..

Hi everybody.
I too am a new poster, but have been following SS for a few years.
I have always been happy just to read other more knowledgeable saints fans opinions and have got a lot of good insights as well as heaps of laughs.
It seems, however, that now we have to register to look at the fan forum, which seems pretty fair enough to me.
One thing I do want to say though is that I'm rapt RL is gonna stay with Saints.
It has dead set been one of the main things I've been worrying about the last few days.

I can't remember the pass, but Alex was the only one of the three playing for us at the time.bergsone wrote:Marcou..kids had a good time running on the ground
The real trivia question is who was coaching the Saints?
And, St.Roly, anyone who posts 100 words+ without a spelling mistake is welcome here and clearly indicates that you are not a Collingwood troll.

Coached the final 4 matches of the season whilst Doc was sick.

Heaps but 99% of it I hope is in good fun. 100% of mine is. Anyway if you put comments out there that you know arent going to be popular there is no point in whinging when you cop it.St.Roly wrote:Thanks for the tip plugger.
I must say I have noticed over my years of lurking that you do appear to cop a fair bit of stick.
