At the moment that quest is looking further and further away.

Nah, you gotta believe, Enrico.

I'm over feeling pessimistic. There's no point.

Anyway, clubs fortunes can really change in a very short space of time. The Weagles are currently a great example of this.

It will probably take at least three years I would've thought. West Coast and Hawthorn seem to have taken this long for a mini rebuild. I just hope that the coach sticks fat and works with Pelchen to develop a deep, skilled list of players.

I'm feeling this entire year and especially last night's game best described as "being our own worst enemy"

or a year of "Court cases and two funerals"

I really do believe Ross believes in our motto. I think he will prove it and our club will be so much stronger because of it. Our Holy Grail awaits members.

Shouldn't it mean loyalty to the club? By Ross?

The love on here for a bloke who is reported to be ready to walk out on the club for money, is really quite sickening!

None of us really know Ross although we have been able to form a fair picture over the last few years of what makes him tick.

He may well end up at Melbourne if the Saints don't value him highly enough to make him a reasonable offer.

However if we do make him a reasonable offer I can't see him walking away simply because he believes, for instance, that the Demon list has more potential. That would indicate that Ross is not prepared to do the hard yards to rebuild the club that gave him his coaching start. That would send a bad message to the players of both clubs and it would, potentially, tarnish RL's image. Just can't imagine him taking that path.

We may force him out but I can't see him walking out - he seems a very proud and moralistic bloke.

i don't think he believes in it. or if he does it's a one sided view.
look at how we've treated stalwarts. look at how we draft discards and throw them in at the expense of developing talent.

not a criticism, it's got us a fair measure of success. but loyalty has never appeared to be high on his agenda.
