Training this arvo

Post: # 1132593Post tony74 »

Decent crowd of supporters- they were giving everyone who turned op free scarves. Good PR by the club!
It was a very windy arvo so some of the skills were less than impressive. The entire squad trained except for Lendog, Doona and Mini. Good to see Stanley running around. Kosi, Joey and Eddy just did laps- Joey is sore but will play on Saturday. I thought the biggest concern was Roo. Looked very sore and proppy and wasn't his usual boisterous self. As he warmed up he got to perhaps 60% but you can tell the surgeons knife awaits. Also left the track early. Would not be surprised to see Dawson have an even more significant role in the forward line this week. Spent quite some time as the lead up forward and looked sharp.
Gards worked well and seems to have taken no ill effect from the weekend.

Now I think of it there was no sighting of Goddard at training ?? If any thing else comes to mind I'll add it later

Didn't notice if Ross had his Demons socks on

BJ was probably off rehearsing his presser for his GWS defection…

Thanks again Tony for the report!

I was going to say the same thing Tony, can't recall seeing BJ at any point?

Agree, Roo looked really proppy, but I expect it's at the point where he trains through the week and gets injections for the game?

Not as big a crowd as I expected given it's finals, but the weather did look threatening all day.

Will upload some pics shortly.

What the hell is Tommy still doing here?

Thought he'd be back in Ireland after Ross failed to give him a game

thanks for the report.

although wind affected skills sounds like a lot of hot air pun intended when discussing our current list.

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

I know how Dal feels.

He is. The rest of the players flew over there to train.

No probs, though I realised my lense was fogged in the middle when I got in the car (that's why they fade a bit in the middle) it was so cold, I think it froze over

Last few (sorry for the size)

Oh and can I just say too, Saint Trevor the mascot was great with the kids today...handing out caps and scarves, playing footy with them, posing for photos.

Well done Trev 8-)

that's the factories that are on the other side of the new freeway...

was thinking those businesses should be invited to be sponsors- free advertising.

and he's asking Milney what he thinks of the move. milney just looks appropriately unimpressed.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Dawson? Play forward? Surely Tommy Walsh (who I notice can kick with both feet - maybe even at the same time) should come in to the forward line and Dawson omitted.
