No September Saint option this year?

Post: # 1132177Post #1GILL »

Have I missed something or is it not available this year?

Anyone know if it will be made available at some point? I know it's not likely that we'll be in the big dance but I would jump at the opportunity for a September Saint package again this year after it provided us with tickets to both GFs last year.

Hope the club does it again.

This is from memory only, so I may be wrong but as I recall:
earlier in the season non social club members were offerred a chance to register to accept social club vacancies IF they become available. There was a charge for this (maybe about $20). It was made clear at the time that this was the only option to have a chance at getting any "left over" GF tickets. We took the option and registered and were later offered social club membership which we accepted.
The more I think about it, I'm thinking this option was actually made known in the original membership renewal info this year?

was classed as
"Restricted Social Club " and was $20

only open till May 2011 to 11 and 16 game members who were not Social Club in 2010

and some have been upgraded since to Social Club members.

Yep, it was in the renewals last year.

The rest of my group were already SC members, but my three year son was not. I registered him and in June was offered the upgrade for SC for him which we of course took. - not so much for now but for the future.
There seems to have been quite a lot of people who were able to upgrade during the season. I wonder if there was a drop off in people keeping up payments with their SC memberships after our bad start to the season. Either way, I'm happy that my little man (now 4) is a SC member.

or they were screwed because of the new reserve seating in the social club and wondered why they pay so much to sit upstairs
