Hawthorn or Geelong?
If we beat Sydney sat night, who would you rather play?
Imo, I'd rather play Geelong, I know our style seems to work well against Geelong, we should of won both of those games imo, just didn't get the score.
Hawthorn however, we got pumped bad and the hawks were playing with a 2 man bench! :/
Thoughts?

IF we're serious about playing in finals the mantra is simple! ANYONE! ANYWHERE! ANYTIME!!! I am concerned with only the Sydney match this week and doing MY bit in the outer to achieve victory. I fear nobody and I respect everybody in the final eight we can beat any of them if the boys are good enough.
St Kilda forever ( God help me)

There's no choices to be had. Just win.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

A Hawthorn supporter from work highlighted the ease of their draw to me months ago. For starters they played both Brisbane and the Gold Coast twice - that's 16 easy points while we played each of these teams only once.
I'm not suggesting that Hawthorn won't be dangerous in the finals, but i don't think that they're of the quality of the top two teams.

We enjoyed a win over Geelong in the Qualifying Final last year.
So I'd love to see us send the poo&wees back to the sewer.
Not a fan of Hawthorn. Arrogant twats. Would feel a little vindicated from 08 Prelim if we were to end their season prematurely

Sydney first.
Christ if we won any more than that I'd be stoked.
I still reckon we are one almighty sleeper......
But we just have to beat Sydney.
Lyon wont lose to the Horse twice.

Exactly. They are unbeaten since losing to the filth. In those 7 games, the best team they beat was carlscum.suss wrote:A Hawthorn supporter from work highlighted the ease of their draw to me months ago. They have had a soft run and I think the Cats will hit them very hard.
Not saying dawks can't win - they are still a dangerous side - but I think we can knock them off if we beat shytney.

If we are good enough, we will beat either team.
However, at this stage, I would prefer to play Hawthorn. Geelong will annihilate them this weekend by 30+. Hawthorn have played well and it is a credit to them to have won 17 games with their injuries, but their are still injury question marks surrounding them and they rely heavily on a few of their stars to shine. If Rioli and Mitchell are taken out of the game (and Franklin, but to a lesser degree), they will struggle IMO.

Your right, plus throw in Collingwood in the prelim (or West Coast in Perth). If we were to win it then it would be well earned.Dr Spaceman wrote:Am I wrong in thinking that if we are to go all the way we’ll probably have to beat both of these sides? One next week and the other on the big day 2 weeks later?
If that’s the case, I don’t care in which order they come.
But first thing is first. Knock of Sydney.
What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.

May not be wet. Not much rain is forecast over the coming week, just the odd shower.HSVKing wrote:Concentrating on winning this weekend first, not going to be easy.
Believe Hawthorn will get up against Geelong, but either way, it's going to be a hard, tough and wet game, so they're going to be sore going into the next match.
