Not happy about the new Finals ticketing system As of 9am tomorrow, you can go in with your 1 x Saints membership and buy 3 extra tickets FOR ANYONE!!. What happened to Monday being exclusive access to Members of competing Clubs???
If I miss out on Premium L1 seating tomorrow because loads of non-members are sititng there, will not be happy. Etihad has just over 40,000 public seats. Just St Kilda has 38,000 members, never mind the Swans members Who cares if non-members cant get in?? Not me!
I hasten to add...dont sledge the CLub for this..its an AFL directive no doubt

+1 Good seats to the finals has to be a priority for members. Certainly not a fair deal to members.saint66au wrote:Not happy about the new Finals ticketing system As of 9am tomorrow, you can go in with your 1 x Saints membership and buy 3 extra tickets FOR ANYONE!!. Won't be happy if I miss out because some member wants to take his theatre-going friends.
Typical greed from the AFL.

The AFL wants a sell-out. Obviously there's no concern for died-in-the-wool club members, who should get priority.
Not surprised. Par for the course for Demetriou & Co.

If the AFL wanted to do this, why couldn't they offer a one day priority window - or even a half day window - so that the members are at least guaranteed seats?

I think it's an ok concept, but perhaps it should be one membership plus 2 seats not 4. Imagine how many tickets will end up on eBay for the more popular games like Hawks/Geelong and Ess/Carl.
The hypocrites at the AFL will say how terrible the eBay thing is. Just watch them!!!
Another option would be to limit the sale to standard seats to non members so those who wanted the good seats could get a good crack at them.

I dont see the problem. It is more than likely the people you will by tickets for are either Swans or Saints supporters. Hardly going to get many neutrals at $50 a pop and it is no hope of a sell out anyway. As for taking the best seats, from my experience I dont think the best seats seem to be sold first anyway. And the other thing is members whinge that they cant sit with friends unless they wait until Wednesday so now the problem is solved.

Seriously people, if this is the biggest thing we have to complain about on Saturday, we're going pretty well.

Personally I think its pretty good.matrix wrote:+ no
its not about neutral members
its about sitting with swans fans
one membership one ticket
otherwise whats the point of letting members only going on monday?
great work afl
twats
I can now get a ticket with some of my mates and extended family who can't afford a membership every year.
The crowd will easily be a pro St Kilda one this week as the majority of people with a membership will bring their Saints supporting mates.
Even if everyone had a Swans supporter come with them that would add to the atmosphere which imo is still a win.
Some of you complain no matter what the situation.

i dont want to sit with you and then your swans supporting friends of family

How dare the AFL want to maximize attendance and atmosphere. Idiots, what would they know, we should all go to the local footy where at least the 10 people there all support the same team.
