Dal Santo v Judd
I was just browsing over the stats on the AFL website and was looking at the top 10 for overall possesions. Judd is 8th and Dal is 10th.
Here are there breakdowns side by side:
Player K H D M HO CL FF FA T G B Ga
Chris Judd 269 304 573 61 0 143 29 27 134 13 15 21
Nick Dal Santo 308 254 562 72 25 107 23 10 113 13 8 21
Considering Dal has had more kicks, hitouts, less clangers and more accurate goal kicking, how does everyone think he will go in the brownlow considering everyone thinks Judd is a lock for the award?
I reckon Dals numbers stack up pretty well and on this years stats I would rather have him than Judd in my team.

Looking at those:
Clearences
Judd 143 vs Dal 107
Tackles
Judd 134 vs Dal 113
To me shows that Judd is better in the packs. Dal prefers to kick (308 vs 269), and be in space.
Equal in goals scored though, would be intersting to see score involvements or I50's.
Imagine how good he'd be doing if we still had Lenny on the park?
Nick has had a great year and would be a good chance for the brownlow.
Polls well, uses the footy well but has he influenced enough winning games?

Think Dal does pretty well with the umps as. Stats can be rubbish and in this case probably are. Dal has had a great year and will win our B&F but Judd is a fair way ahead of him and everyone else in the AFL this year.markp wrote:Judd's still miles ahead in the 'audible orgasms per possession' stat.

Doesn't make him less of a pain in the arse.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
I'm not saying Dal will win it but what helps him is that he has clearly been our best midfielder (player overall) where as Judd will have votes taken off him by Murphy and Gibbs potentially.
Also Dal might sneak a vote or two in the close ones we lost:
Round 1 v Geelong - 30 touches
Round 6 v Adelaide - 29 touches
Round 7 v Carlton - 24 touches

Agree that Murphy will pinch votes, he is leading alot of the other media comps.Maklom wrote:I'm not saying Dal will win it but what helps him is that he has clearly been our best midfielder (player overall) where as Judd will have votes taken off him by Murphy and Gibbs potentially.
