Go squeeze Your lemons, Robert Walls
Right on cue, Mr Irrelevant weighs in with his tuppence worth of what his old mate Ross Lyon should do. I'm sure you don't need me to link to that article to imagine what that totally unbiased advice was.
Such a negative, pathetic, weak individual. I'm convinced he's the Akermanis of dad's generation.
Cut and run in the bad times, that's what he advises because that's what he'd do, rather than roll up his sleeves. If any club would keep him on long enough these days.
So let's hear it for Robert Walls, surely one of footy's weakest pricks ever!

I cannot abide Walls, but this was a long way from him at his most obnoxious. Just the usual sort of idle speculation from the media. I can't believe Lyon will be going anywhere but people are allowed to speculate if they want.
Otherwise, shouldn't the mods be deleting all the threads on here about "so and so grew up as a Saints supporter and is unhappy at their club so we should make a play for them"? Same sort of thing, isn't it?

Just a fairly coherent opinion feeding of speculation.
Makes sense to me.
Seems if RL thinks he can rejig things for another tilt he'll stay.
If not, then he'll go.
Seems that'd be the best result for all concerned.
But what irks me is how Walls today and the others yesterday slot in random speculation as fact.
I mean FFS bookies odds being presented as some kind of evidence as to the legitimacy of speculation?
Pretty laughable.

Caro wrote this piece about a month ago. Not sure if it's the piece you were talking about, but the whole situation seemed a lot more stable then...

One of my favourite footy memories was at Princes Park in the early 60's.
Barry Laurence hit Walls with the perfect shirtfront -he woke up after the match was over and I think we may have had one of our rare wins at that ground.
sadly today he would have probably been suspended by the MRP

One year will be our year

Walls just wants him back at Carlton. Axe Ratten and throw everything at Lyon, is what I've been told (Source not that reliable). I think it's more wishful thinking than anything substantial. Still he'd be the perfect man to take them all the way. Oh the pain of that thought!!
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

"You look at Rodney Eade and Bailey and Neil Craig, they have given their heart and soul to their clubs and look what happened."
"As good a person as you are and as hard-working as you are, there is no denying those three coaches who have been given the flick in the past month, they are all that."
Yes Wallsy, let's look at Rodney Eade, ex-coach of a club that has their heads so far up their own arses that in spite of being middle of the table for revenue generation they are lowest in the league for footy department resourcing. They tried to be the little club that "could", and when they "didn't" they made a perfectly good coach carry the can for it. FAIL
Dean Bailey and the Melbourne Demons, where do you start. Anyone seen their president's Whiteboard Wednesday presentations on YouTube? He knows more about the gameplan than the players do. Small wonder Bailey felt undermined. After a week of meetings where the playing group air their grievances about the administration, they turn up on game day mentally flat and get destroyed, the board sacks the president, has a crisis meeting, reinstates the president and extends him for a year, and sacks the coach. Still following? FAIL
And look what happened to Neil Craig? Uhh, he resigned Wallsy.
Next you'll be on at John Longmire to chase a juicy carrot.
