Boomer Harvey
The little turd might cause us some trouble, along with their other mosquitos.
Harvey is the issue - stop him and stop North IMO.

Goldstein v McEvoy.
Should add that North were said to have lost it at the slection table last time out by going too tall and slow with McKinley, Pratt and Hansen.

For me, use the same match-ups as last time - they worked well. Let's hope Dempster plays, but that is no certainty, has he has been concussed twice this year and we only have a 6 day break!
The worry is the ruck - Goldstein won easily last time and after the Sydney match, that position is a real concern. Kosi is a must to provide some back-up for McEvoy this week.

Yes Wells is an issue also.
Those annoying running shytes like Neon Leon, Rhys Shaw, all those little turds that tear us a new one.
Didn't boomer have about 5 possessions against us last time?
Maybe Joey, Dal and Steven will get their acts together and win some contests in the middle.
Kosi back will make an enormous difference.
Playing at Jihad will also.

I can't see the point or value of abusing and name calling opposition players. It says a lot more about the abuser than the player.
On the issue, Andrew Swallow was easily the most influential player against Freo, as he was against us a couple of years ago in a similar match. Both Brent Harvey and Daniel Wells will need to be watched too. Then there is our nemesis man - Drew Petrie - who had a quiet one last week.

Agree totally. Cant see the point especially as one day a person you have abused could be at our club. Id rather not turn on and off the emotion tap because they come or go to our club. Each to their own I suppose as long as they arent hypocrites and can handle opposition supporters abusing ours at a game.perfectionist wrote:I can't see the point or value of abusing and name calling opposition players. How pathetic. Steven Baker has been a fine player for the Saints. And despite the MRP suddenly finding that actions undertaken by other players are now forbidden (the Steven Baker Rule), he appears to have taken as much as he has given. That is not to say that he has been perfect. He will regret, does regret, the silly punchings to Steve Johnson. He deserves to be remembered as fine AFL player who sacrificed much for the club, rather than a thug. If he gets another game, he should play it hard, play it within the rules and play it with distinction.saintspremiers wrote:Maybe to smash a few heads in if it helps us win.Eastern wrote:Boomer plays forward a lot these days. Be nice if he went out swinging!

Perfectionist, you totally miss the point. If he takes out one or two which helps us win and make the finals, isn't that better than losing? Or do you live in the perfect world?
Say we made the grand final (hypothetical as we have no hope this year), why not play Baker as thug to take out a few in his last game, only provided the match committee thinks it would help us win.
If thuggery isn't likey to help a win, then sure, don't go down that path.

Just thought this a pertinent place to wish the very best at this dreadful time to Jarrod McVeigh and his wife. The same player who you seem quite happy calling a turd (hes an opposition player and we didnt stop him Sunday, an incredibly gutsy considering the circumstances 27 posession game and close to BOG) lost his baby daughter today. 4 weeks old.saintspremiers wrote:complete BS.perfectionist wrote:I can't see the point or value of abusing and name calling opposition players. I hate players that beat us that we can't stop, and I will call them turds if I wish.
sorry.
Sometimes theres more to people than just "turds who dont play for us"
Call them names should you wish, but all it does is just confirm the rubbish you have a habit of posting
Sorry to hijack the discussion, but the OP just pissed me off too much to let it pass
