i think the coach will trim around the edges till the end of the season.

I expect us to come out and hit sydney even harder than we hit collingwood.

You need fit, hardened bodies in the finals. Experience also.

IMO, finals are beyond Cripps and Sipposs for this year. They also need match fitness, which will take more than a couple of weeks to get to AFL levels.

You're right JO but it's great for the kid to be back to full fitness. He needs a monster pre-season to harden up that body of his and get some serious kms into his legs. If he can manage his health issues then I reckon he'll be a ripper.

Do we think these kids could come in after 10 weeks doing rehab and play afl finals intensity football??

Vs. Geelong, hawthorn, collingwood, carlton

With less than half a dozen games each.......

both were in the side at its lowest ebb....not sure either boy (although showing promise) actually found the ball 10 times in a game.

Both may be good future prospects.....but in the here and now....how could their match fitness get anywhere near what finals footy demands....without taking into account the body strength....

Cripps kicked 7 goals in his four games, which included one full match. 2 half games, and one quarter. On that performance he is probably close to our top goalkicker.

Misso was saying that cripps will likely play the next two weeks, and Sippos in a fortnight, to make sure that if needed they are ready.

Lets put it this way. Who is not in the team, that could play finals realistically?

Bakes. Gards. Gamble..............

That way, it makes me think that Crippa and Sippa top the youngsters list, especially as sub.

Copy on that. It will be great to see both getting themselves right for next year. If we get any more injuries prior to the finals, there may be a "faint hope" of a Sub position for one of them, but other players are more advanced.

you're about right

siposs had one game with 11 disp + 2 goals, total of 5 goals in 5 games and ~6.5 dispoals per game. http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/play ... iposs.html

cripps faired about the same (although i think he was a sub more often), but must be a prolific goalkicker versus game time (don't have the numbers). http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/play ... ripps.html
