the disposal isnt really shocking imo

i mean yeah sure a few are a worry and they dont get to where they are going properly
but most times he actually does hit the target, even with that strange left foot kicking style :)

He plays within his limitations. You rarely see him hit up a target on the lead. If he kicks it it's usually high and at least in the general direction of a team mate.

dont agree
think he'd be around 60% at hitting a lead on the target (imo)

Really? If he has a player that's free he'll get it to him but on the lead? There's a reason why he isn't given the ball just outside 50 to set up a lead....

Why underrated? He has been the No. 1 Stopper for a couple of years now.

The game is calling for these type of players to be more attacking, which Jonesey was against the Dockers - a close to best on ground performance.

Has lifted his game lately and has definitely improved his kicking a lot in recent times (a lot more improvement to go). He used to be "petrified" to kick, but is now showing more confidence to run and kick, which is adding to his and the team's performance.

Jones, Kosi and Milne just got the votes on TFS.

Nah, no one rates Jonesy.

Agree. It actually looks worse than it is. Also, he's not a bad kick for goal. Not a long kick, but reasonably accurate. Riewoldt could learn a thing or two from him.

I'm glad Freo weren't...Collingwood certainly are. Who looks stupid now?

Im sure they are terrified.
I think they know what they're doing when the send guys out to rough him up. I'm gobsmacked the number of supporters on here that have NFI...embarrassing.

I wonder if Clint got the Game ball

He and Jarryn got into the HS Team of the week
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/team-of-the-round
LEON takes his regular spot but Tendai, Jarryn, Clint and Dayne are all welcome new faces to this week's Team of the Round.
Tendai is Mzungo, the dashing Docker who went up again Nick Dal Santo last Friday night.

Jarryn stands for Geary, St Kilda’s super sub who helped change the game in the final quarter.

Clint is Jones, St Kilda’s premier run-with player who is back to peak form after a slow start.

He may have beeen especially good this week but apart from a small patch when the whole team was bad he hasn't had too many bad games for us. He isn't a silky mover like dal but he can get the job done most weeks.

I'm with bigcarl and matrix on this, his kicking style gives people the impression his kicking is awful. Sure he turns it over from time to time but to say he can't hit up someone on a lead is wrong. His disposal efficiency is nothing to write home about but that's generally the case when a mid is extracting the ball from tight places. What's Lenny's efficiency?

I want to see Fisher on Pendlebury

Now, how interesting would that be!

Not a bad thought SainterK. I think that we have to bring something different to the table this week to shut down their prime movers. If so, Blake on Cloke?

Last year he had probably an even better game against freo, 33 possies and a goal…

I don't think he is "the most underrated player in the comp"

As Bruce said on friday night, he has limitations, but he knows what they are…

His kicking looks awkward but its also very loopy, they never come out as stabs and this always gives the opposition a chance to spoil.

Not sure if he'd get a game for any of the other top 8 sides…?

He's a battler, super-quick and a great tackler, he gives his all - that's all you can ask for really.

course he would. they rate him very highly due to the high profile scalps he has taken at their clubs.

he was a real key to our 2009 and somewhere along the way lost a bit of the spark, but it is coming back.

Collingwood certainly rates him as seen when a pack of their dogs targeted him last year. One of the less savory things I've seen on a football field.

I don't think he'd get a game at Collingwood, Geelong or Hawthorn…

Collingwood rate his a ability to negate their stars but they don't seem to use may negating-type midfielders…

Geelong have Ling who is slower but a much better user than CJ.

Hawthorn don't seem to play anyone with kicking issues.

Carlton have a few taggers, WCE dunno?

There's a reason why he was drafted as a rookie at age 22, fortunately his endeavor has overshadowed his flaws.

What is with CJ & West coast…

Round 3 2009 - 14 tackles

Round 15 2009 - 9 tackles

Round 9 2010 - 14 tackles

Round 17 2011 - 13 tackles

Combined with his stand-out games against freo, he seems to love proving the West Australians wrong for not drafting him…
