Jarryn Geary > Team of the Round

Post: # 1117809Post dragit »

Good on you Jarryn, recognised today in the Sun by Jon Anderson in his team of the round.

Sure, there was a bit of butchery as far as disposal was concerned but he got plenty of it again in limited game time - Well Done mate!

Hopefully see him get a full game some time too…

Bizarre selection practice for a "team of the round."

I think the sub in team of the round has to be a sub for a team and geary was judged to be the best sub this weekend

Yes, that's obvious. I guess the AA team won't have such a position though, or any other like "best player who spent least time on the ground".

Who has been the best sub for us this year? Geary's effort was definatly noticeable.
I think Raph Clarke was a sub once and made an impact (i maybe wrong).

Cripps was the true super-sub, 4 games, 7 goals, in not many minutes…

Jon Anderson seems to have a pretty cushy gig at the Herald Sun.
What does he actually do other than write these hypotehtical lists?

Yeah thats right, pity about his injury. A great way to give the young guys a taste of the big time, can be a baptism of fire in some games.

Raph had a great sub game and an ordinary one. I suggested he wasn't suited as the sub because he needs to build confidence. Then he had a good game as a sub. Oh well might suggest Rooey isn't any good as a forward and he will kick 7 goals this week.

Some experts on here had him delisted at the end of the year. I'm not a big fan of emoticons but this deserves eye rolling.

Gets p1ssed & crashes into pizza shops.

Old Ando is probably depressed since Scott Gullan took over the resident "Geelong supporting journo exclusively writing ejaculatory pieces on the Geelong Football Club" role at the Herald Sun.

Don't they all just write lists? That's all I see in the HS - top 10s, lists, supercoach numbers and big pictures.

but they don't publish that list-- possibly because it would take too many pages...
