Not sure i said that. Goodes will not be reported because it isnt reportable. But like saint66au said, it would exist if we didnt play them in 2 weeks even if others think otherwise. Its amazing how one eye makes you think.
you realise that doesnt make sense
and
isnt what saint66au said??

well how is it different to roo's? you asked if monfries came on after he broke his jaw, was that the only difference?

I'm seeing a guy overruning the football, off the ground, with a raised elbow to the head...
Yep well I am not seeing any raised elbow for a start. Have no idea why off the ground matters.
you dont?
as an umpire you have no idea how being off the ground matters???
seeing as its the first thing mentioned in both footy shows in the mcphee incident today i think being off the ground gets looked out by the MRP

thought you might realise that
What are you talking about. You can jump 10 feet in the air if you want as long as you dont damage someones head. Please explain the rule of off the ground. Sorry but there is 100% no such rule.

Plugger are you arguing he shouldnt be suspened as the act wasnt worth being cited? Or do you believe its somthing the MRP wouldnt look at? Both are two completely differant things.

A report is for hitting in the head not for jumping in the air. If you jump in the air and still him them in the body there is no report just as there would be one if you didnt leave the ground but hit them in the head. Jumping in the air will have nothing to do with whether Goodes gets reported or not. Please learn the rules or at least show me just one rule when jumping in the air makes something reportable.

and yet to see how this was different to roo's strike.

So far all you've said was regarding monfries, a broken jaw and returning to the ground.

Again, how was this different to roo's aside from the injury.

Are you allowed to raise an elbow to the head as long as it doesn't break anything.

As for the image, goodes elbow is elevated, are you denying the image?

He didnt even slightly raise his elbow. Please tell me you have seen it on TV and arent going by a stupid one frame picture. Please Dan tell me it isnt so.

Jumping in the air will have nothing to do with whether Goodes gets reported or not

yup
youre correct
but its looked at plugger
when you leave the ground you are more likely to hit the head and you get more momentum

otherwise they wouldnt discuss it would they??

no point trying to discuss it any further

you know right
you know everything
you are the messiah on afl and umpires

and u 90% of the time (at an estimate) disagree with everyone on this site.

i guess you should get on the MRP panel

i mean after all, you cannot see the relevance of comparing the roo incident to the goodes one, apart from the fact you think it wouldnt even be a topic of discussion if we wernt playing the swans in a couple of weeks

what tosh
its NOT the reason it was brought up and you know it
it was brought up because our capt got three weeks (downgraded to one) because he propped (what else could he do?...try to leapfrog him??) and the crows players jaws got broken on his shoulder
he did not do anything in a vengeful way, same as goodes didnt
but seeing as monfries didnt get an injury goodes should get off
apparently its different
luck
decisions based on it by an MRP

fantastic system you love

Jumping into a bump is somewhere between negligent and reckless contact imo. Obviously more likely to make contact with the head when higher up.

What about the johnson one I mentioned last night in it's own thread?

Anyone else seen it? Surely it will be looked at

Matrix, this was different to the Roo debacle.

Sniper's hit was intentional, perhaps reckless.

Was also high contact but low impact as the player in Sniper's case wasn't hurt.

Injury to the hit player is taken into account. That's the rules.

Wow, what's your beef with Goodes?

Looked fine to me. Didn't look high, just a solid front on bump.

it has been around this time that "Kosi" will headbutt a fence, rip a hamstring or belt someone.

yeah i have no prob with it either
same as i had no prob with roos

i expect the result to be completely the opposite from the MRP due to the fact of bad luck in the roo instance with the crows player copped a busted jaw

plugger youre weird all the time
8-)
