Ross Lyon-Has he signed?

Post: # 1116584Post murray 66 »

I was wondering wether anyone has any goss on Ross re-signing.
Ross has stated in the past 5-6yrs was enough for a coach at one club.

Listen to his response to that question in the audio thread below-
Ross on SEN it was put to him there.

not as yet but he didn't say no - did say he wasn't going to discuss Club business on radio around town.

Ross is in year 5 now, and while he wouldn't be drawn into speculation he did mention how much emphasis there was at the club on stability and improvement.

He is signed to 2012, and if he knew he was not going to continue I think there would be discussions of a succession plan.

Ross will re-sign, you can take it to the bank.

I'm pretty sure he said that 4-5 years is about the right amount of time for an assistant coach, not a head coach.

I'm a bit concerned about this..

Reading between the lines we have gone to offer an extension and it feels like it has been pushed back on.

Why would he want to leave? He has a Contract for next year, the list is good (relatively), the Pelchen appointment will provide additional expertise/support, he has a good rapport with the players, the Club is successful (relatively), his personality is all about stability. Importantly, the Board, the Players and the Supporters all want him.

Chase the money, a new and bigger challenge, a new club, new people? Don't think so!
