Nick Dalsanto=Midfield

Post: # 1115773Post murray 66 »

To me it is no surprise of Dal's numbers in the midfield this year.
I have always thought that Dal's class was better surved in the middle and forward of the ball.
The great Allen Jeans was once asked where he would he play Dal in one of his rare interviews on radio, his response was Quote"A player that posess's those footskills and has time and class to burn should always be played forward of the ball".
Interesting mindset that Ross has mainly played him in defence and only played him in the middle since the loss of Lenny.

Thoughts.............

I always wanted him on a HFF or in the forward pocket, as he would run rings around a lot of backs. Although he is doing well in a more attacking midfield role, I still reckon he would make a great forward.

Good point Spert,i think it gives you a good insight into the different mindsets of one who is a legend coach and the other who is in the top three coaches in the AFL.
We aren't blessed by footskill in the backline maybe that's why Ross robs Peter to pay Paul with Dal,but our current form is no coincidence and Dal must stay in the middle.

Old school was all out attack new school all defence, we could clone him and have the perfect scenario. Na make him triplets and we can have him in the middle as well.

A good chance and definitely.

I'd give him at least 20 votes from the last 11 games alone.
