Work around stoppages

Post: # 1113307Post spert »

Too defensive, we got away with it last night, but unless we get a bit more attack around throw ins and ball ups we will not beat the Woods, Hawks or Geelong especially. Too much emphasis on stopping the opposition getting the ball, and not enough work to get the ball first. We are flat footed while we fend off the opposition, and gun onballers will just hang off the packs and run through at top pace and gather the loose ball to exploit that.

And give credit to GCS they are a very good clearance side already. Ablett and Swallow are masterful in close.

I read yesterday that they are third in the league for centre clearances, we are 14th from memory. Not much wonder we came in for extra stifling on their mids. You would rather be defensive and win than be free flowing and lose by 5 goals.

Just saying that we wont beat the top three unless we get that aspect of our game sorted out, though not necessarily go total attack.

we could do with Lenny back for an instant increase in centre clearances. We have a fairly slapped together centre group at the moment and with jones taken out to chase Ablett we were down one of our regular drivers.

Maybe we should have done more to keep Luke Ball?

I have barracked for St Kilda since 1971 and was a member for 22 consecutive years. That ended though after Lyon's first year as coach.

Good decision, Ross Lyon has befouled the hallowed halls at Moorabbin with his annoying winning and successful attitude. I wouldn't have followed us in our most successful era either only i am easily swayed by popularity.

I've found the link Helen has in question and I 100% agree with her.

I'm sorry helen, here is the link and evidence you required. Sack Kosi now...

based on this I'm surprised Kosi is still with us.

I can't believe I missed this :(

Seriously have a good hard look at yourself.
