How bad is this for footy?

While its fun to laugh at the dees, watching a top 2 side destroy another by 200 points is pretty damning.

There is something very very wrong at the demons.

In all likelyhood scully will leave at the end of the year, and maybe a few others.

I can't see the dees coming back from this for a while.

It's is horrible, must just about be the end for Baily, and I imagine a few players will be looking over their shouders as well. With all the high draft picks they had a few yearsxago they should have done better.

Rivers is quality but we won't really be in a position to trade.

he probably repelled about 5 or 6 attempts at goal on his own.

Not sure about Rivers as being gone,gives plenty.

Most of the rest of them however,that place needs to be taken to the cleaners. Scully is gone to GWS,Sylvia also I'd say. He's looked disinterested since his contract talks fell through.

They are the biggest joke in the comp right now,forget about Port,Gary Lyon needs to put the torch onto his own club like he did to Primus the other week on TFS

Feel very sorry for the fans. Absolutely gutless display of a Melbourne team I have ever seen. Good luck in the job search Dean because I dont think Jim can even protect you now. The players have spoken.

Also feel very sad for the fans. Have many friends who love the Dees just like I love the Saints and I know that they will be devastated.
On the otherhand, I am very glad that it wasn't us on the receiving end of a belting like that!

Rivers was about the only Dees player to have earned his money today.

Was nice for Foxtel to broadcast 2.5 hours of Geelong training drills

Interesting everybody focusing on Dees loss, but how impressive were Geelong. They seem to have risen for the run home. A deeply worrying sign. Back to their best.

it's a bit silly that GWS are paying that much for a guy like Scully... will be a good player don't get me wrong but doubt he'll be one of the truly elite. IMO receiving a payslip like that will put the pressure on him and ultimately kill his career

he'll still be better off though
