NINTH on ladder.
Talk about knocking on the door.
Saints move up to 9th place, on 30 points with 7 wins and a draw.
8th is Fremantle, 7th is Sydney. They play each other tomorrow in Sydney.
We're 2 premiership points behind Fremantle, and we play them in round 20
at Docklands.
We're 4pts and 9% behind Sydney, who we play in Round 22 in Sydney.
Interesting times ahead.

We'll have to be the odd ones out if we do win all 3Iceman234 wrote:They are the MUST wins, the ones we are expected to win.SainterK wrote:Crows, Suns, Freo
Too close now to let one of those slip.
Every side in the top dozen bar Collingwood have dropped a game in the last 3 weeks they would have expected to win. The odds say its our turn soon..weve just GOT to make sure we dont

We are now extremely well placed to be the best side not in the 8.
Making the eight will be difficult.
Because of our crappy % we are effectively two games behind Freo, Ess and Shytney.

Can't worry about the Dogs and Roos now. They're behind us and it should stay that way.saintbrat wrote:what about Essendon, Ffreemantle and Sydney because we need them losng as well as Us winning...SainterK wrote:Saints next 3 Crows Suns Freo

If we win every game we can finish 4th.

I think we are well placed to snag a finals position. We've played one less game than a few of the teams above us and should win our next three. That would put a lot of confidence into the group for when we come up against some of the more difficult teams i.e Filth, Syd (@ANZ) and Blues. If we can win 1/3 of those games then we should make it comfortably (and win the games we definitely should). Win 2/3 then we could very well see us in 5th or 6th spot with a home final.

TENTH
One game and 15 goals short of the 8.
If the Saints win 4 of the last 7 they would be very unllucky to miss the 8 with 11 1/2 wins.
Winning only 3 of the last 7 they would need to be exceptionally lucky with 10 1/2 wins.
The games in order of hardness are
Collingwood at Etihad
Carlton at MCG
Sydney at ANZ stadium
Fremantle at Etihad
North Melbourne at Etihad
Adelaide at Etihad
Gold Coast at Gold Coast Stadium
Collingwood, Carlton, Sydney and Fremantle are in the 8 at present.
Essendon and Sydney are the most likely to fall out.
They are both a game and percentage clear of St Kilda but both have a BUY before the end of the home & away season, giving St Kilda an extra game.
The game versus Sydney at ANZ stadium in 4 weeks time is looming as a make or break game.
If St Kilda can't make the 8, I will be glad that they do not play in the finals - they will not be good enough to have got past the first week of the finals.
If they do make the the 8 then they will be good enough to go further.

The only way that can happen is if WCE and Carlton drop at least 3?kosifantutti23 wrote:Can't worry about the Dogs and Roos now.
