You can always dream...these are hypotheticals, of course. I would have thought we're looking for ruck/KP forward more than anything else.

Exactly.

How slow do we want our midfield?

Lance or James??

Yes I would consider trading for Salopek in a heartbeat - provided it's a fair deal

Can someone explain what following the Saints has to do with anything. Pretty sure he follows Port Adelaide now and probably has no interest in our club.

Well if he follows Port Adelaide he's part of a very exclusive club

DO you want to replace Jess Smith place in the team (formally the position of X Clarke). .... in the rehab room.

You couldnt be serious thinking of trading one of the best young recruit we have for a player that cant string 4 games together without breaking down.

Only way I would want him is with free agency or in some kind of shady collingwood deal where he sets his price high but plays for nothing in the cap.

especially after we off load umpteen GOP's at years end...we'll be out to re stock a few.....Salopek could be ideal...get pelchen to broker the deal....

I'd swap him with Polo. But realistically Salopek wouldn't offer us much with his lack of pace and constant injuries.

From my reading

Salopek has not missed any more than 6 games in any seasons since 2007...

He has been playing in the sniors at port....but has been available..

He is a good player with an upside and would be worth a look but for mine the steals would be Shane tuck who leads the tigers in just about every stat and 1 percenters and can't get a game and mitch morton who is also out of favour but both are potential stars at another club and both wouldn't cost much. Tuck is just not in the future planning and Morton is a mystery.

Shane Tucks disposal is woeful so he'd be perfect for us....

Tuck is apparently on a performance based contract where if he plays over 15 games - it costs Richmond - so he may not get another game, no matter how well he plays in the VFL, he is an emergency again this week.

Morton had his off field personal hassles, and now appears to be back playing well again in the VFL.

I would consider both of these for sure.

Didn't he win 3 gold medals at the 1952 Olympics?

Crikey... I would like to get Salopek but don't think he's worth more than a 3rd rounder at best or a fringe player or if Port was dumb enough to swap him for our garbage players (2 or 3 of them in combination).

I'm glad ur not in charge of our trading though (if you're being serious)

If we were trading for a midfielder/half-forward i would ratherr try for Dangerfield -he wants to return to Melbourne.

Yes Vince also - but you would need to give up 1st Rnd DP or a top player for either. Think people consider Salopek because he seems to be out of favour and is injury prone - which means he could come fairly cheap....

Vince is another over-rated player who has played above average for one entire season out of six. Big deal.
