I think Naitanui is in trouble & will miss few weeks, also Kerr will miss with o tight calf.

For us may miss Armo due to suspension & why was Ray subbed off, is he injured?

Id like to see:

Out:

Raph - (sorry aint gonna get there....woeful decision making NO **** URGENCY AT ALL will be punished against quality sides and Eagles are - its no mean feat to hold a Power fwd to zip when the balls restricted to something like 18 fwd 50 entries for their side for a half...).

Gram - Terrible disposal not just by foot but hand also. Decision making is a mess and is soft as butter.

In:

Kosi - need another fwd/ruck.
Smith - wont happen but I'd like to see him OR someone who can inject some run into the side...Geary?? (or is he injured again?)

Schnieder needs a massive rocket.

He did have a good game against Cats & was suspended. Also Eagles have the best talls & against the Blues were a dominating factor.

So I think Kosi will be handy,

Why would bring in a lumbering liability against the third best team in the comp?

Thats bit harsh BS, he was much better than Roey against the best team before the Bye.

At the end of the day he (Kosi) is probably going to offer us more than say, Lynch. And its not only the flexibility he adds to play forward / ruck but he also gives McEvoy a rest and the opportunity to clunk a few in the forward half to help out Roo. Definitely not in our long term plans but at the minute he's in our best 22. Important that we don't get smashed in the spread coz big Kosi is not the quickest big bloke out there.

No, but it sure as s*** wasn't Kosi's fault that we didn't, as he had his best game of the season by far.

Armo will miss for sure, so that will open up at least one spot.
As others have said, I hope Lynch keeps his spot, as the more games he plays the better he's likely to get.

McEvoy has been great, but lets not break him.

Kosi in to help out with the ruck (don't want to see Tom in there again) and kick a few himself.

It might actually be the first time we see a forward line of Roo, Kosi, Gamble....with Milne, Schneider and Lynch rotating through there at times.

Curious, who did you think was going to win last week?

I think we're a very good chance.

SainterK wrote:Those thinking Raph didn't do a servicable job, answer me this, who did he play on today?

Give you a clue, he didn't kick any goals, and Raph had as much of the ball as he did.

Watch the replay, don't just focus on the couple of errant handpasses, watch his team orientated stuff, and who his actual opponent was.
Backman's job is twofold, especially the running back role that Raph plays. 1) Limit his opponent's effectiveness. I guess he did that cos I don't know who he played on and you seem pretty confident on that score SainterK, so I'll trust your opinion.

2) provide run and drive from half back. Setting up plays and linking the lines from half back through the centre. Raph is just so indecisive it frustrates. His decision at the last minute to dispose often means he's under pressure which results in a poor disposal or a turnover.

Put bluntly, I'd just as soon see just about anyone in his role right now. He's been given a fair go (from the selectors) and I reckon a decision has to be made on him. For mine he's never going to make it, and I just can't see us being a great side with him in it anymore. Prior to this year I still held out hope for him, and thought with a good run with injury he could string some good games together like Peake has and really start to believe. I hope for his sake (and the teams) that this happens but for mine it's time to exit him out.

Not for mine. Who is going to be 2nd ruck? Tom Lynch again? Will kill the kid. Have to have a 2nd ruckman in. If Ben gets injured we may as well just walk off the ground. Gamble can't play as the 2nd tall against Glass either. We need a 2nd genuine tall against the good teams I reckon.

Kosi is a handy player even just for the fact that he can take a second back away from Roo. If they don't watch him he will kick a couple of goals. I wouldn't be surprised if Baker got a recall for Gram.

I'd say Kosi will play because we'll need another tall against the Eagles. Bit much to ask big Ben to ruck all day against Cox and Naitanui.

Armitage is likely to have a bit of a holiday, so that might be who goes out.

Walsh must be close going on Sandringham reports. He's got to get a run soon, surely. Has come too far to be allowed to pack himself off back to Ireland.
