To be honest I'm not that worried either way re finals. I'm just glad the boys are playing a bit better. Finals this year I reckon is irrelevant. If we are aiming for finals then someone like Lynch probably needs to be dropped and, but I reckon we need to keep getting games into him. He's showing glimpses of what he can do and needs more experience. Don't get me wrong I want us to win every week, but not sure this is the year to get too excited about making finals or not. If we win a final would be a huge bonus.

Funny how it's taken until the bombers basically tagged Scarlet out of the match for teams to work out Geelong. We are harder to get at because we create rebound out of several backs. Our forward line struggles to make much of opportunities at the moment. If our backs play well and we can convert some goals we should win. Big Mac needs another blinder so we at least have a chance to get first use, but over all I think we match up pretty well on the Eagles. We might need to recall Baker to go with La Cras or even a midfield tagging job on Kerr. It will be a good game anyway.

No hope for top 6 surely....Sam23 wrote:If we win this we are every chance for top 6 finish which means a home final which would be great.
I don't think we will go deep into the finals this year. But I would love to see us in a final down here in Melbourne
Im happy to play and try and win a final.......ONLY IF in doing that Lynch and co are along for the ride.....playing list cloggers aint what we should be about........its ALL about 2012 for me.....2011 is re-load year and to do that you gotta play kids.
IF we play kids and just miss - so be it, least theyve go that further exposure......
“Yeah….nah””
There's a bit of 07 / 08 feel about this year. Poor start with a bit of a flutter at the end of the season.Teflon wrote:No hope for top 6 surely....Sam23 wrote:If we win this we are every chance for top 6 finish which means a home final which would be great.

I honestly don't think we will win this week, not that it will stop me from screaming my lungs out on saturday night, i'm just not confident we're in the same league as West Coast, both in skills and game-plan. I'm not sure West Coast will lose again to be honest.
That said, I don't think it will effect our chances of making the 8 too much. Assuming there's 2 spots available in the 8 for Essendon, Bulldogs, Us, Freo, Melbourne, North and Richmond.
I think we're a better side than all of those (the dogs are showing some fight though) and we also have a game in hand of most of them.
The matches that will decide the spots are the ones among these team, we play North, Essendon vs Bulldogs etc.
Our games against Freo in Melbourne, and against the Kangaroos, will determine our final position. Win those and we should be home, lose and we will finish 9th or 10th, which really is the worst result possible. I'd still rather finish 14th than 9th.
